Mod edit: Screencaps gallery
I actually like the look of this guy, but I'm not sure where he'd fit in my collection. (though displaying him between RED Optimus and Megatron reminded me of a kid who's now all grown up and helping sort out the differences between his elders (and Bumblebee and Megatron have got on fairly well in some continuities).
He's too big compared to RED figures that really should be a bit bigger in comparison. I know these are all meant to be six-inch figures but it's kind of jarring when it comes to Bumblebee.
I'm not discounting the RED line yet. A RED Ravage, minus all the transformation compromises would be nice (IMO), and I'd happy with a similar Laserbeak/Buzzsaw set as well.
I understand they may be doing a RED Metroplex. A collection of easily poseable mini-desktop Titans (and possibly combiners) sounds interesting to me (and I'll see if I've got a six-inch Godzilla lying around somewhere ). .
I think the body looks great, but the face is a bit too... puffy? He looks a bit 'human' with the curves of the sculpting and it hurts it.
wow, they didn't make him at least somewhat too scale?
I mean, he doesn't need to be 1/2 Primes height or anything, but maybe shoulder high? that line up of him with Megs and Prime just looks bizarre - his proportions make him look like he's from an entirely different line.
Hmm... I agree that scaling issue is and issue. Should have been smaller and done a two pack with another bot.
He looks better than I expected, but the weird, dirty chest is an odd choice for a removable component.
Curious how he'd look next to Super7 Ultimates Optimus, who's nearly 8 inches tall. Still not in scale but better.
If they'd deliberately style these after Action Masters, the scale thing wouldn't bug me as much. Maybe those are the Optimus and Megatron redecos.
Bumblebee has grown up, he still has a baby face though.
I'd be miffed at him being as tall as the others if I was invested in this line, which I'm not.
Oof. That ain't a pretty figure.
This ain't it
No more jarring than Cheetor standing eye to eye with Optimus.
I usually don't care about scale all that much but wow okay he's a tall boy now.
What is removable chest referencing? Or is it for a pose that I also don’t remember?
Ah, yes....a giant bumblebee with battle damage or whatever hell that is. Just what everyone was clamoring for
Its a trend they started doing with these figures ever since wave 2 with cheetor... and arcee....
Except with Cheetor and Optimus those aren't normally characters you'd see next to each other, where with Bumblebee Optimus always towers over him.
For collectors that are collecting using scale, this will be a disappointing figure for them. Looks nice. Like everyone, I thought this would\'ve been a smaller figure.
Bumblebee is no longer a Bumbleboy. He has turned into a Bumbleman!
What is the purpose of this line，why make bumblebee so big？
So they went from designs that were stricly cartoon accurate to....this? Make up your minds.
