You have to consider that it isnt cheap to make stuff like this. I don't know how he's doing it but whether or not he's doing it himself or via a factory, injection molding isn't exactly nickel and dime for the average joe. Same reason why urban vinyls are so expensive- high costs of production + limited production runs. I admit that I'd never spend that much on something like this, but theres surely a market. Its just that he's not making 100,000 of them and sending them to Walmart.

IT'd sure be great if Hasbro would make some Quint figures of there own, some nice little TF accessories.

I'm assuming you men the tentacles that Quints walk on...They are sort of a "wire" material that can be moved and flexed in any way, and they do hold a pose, you need to form how you want it to be.

Some "add ons" like soundchip or something like that would be nice. Then we can have the evil Quintessons say some phrases from the movie/show.

Then again, this "add-ons" features might just "add on" another USD $25. :cry

That A.R.C. bastard's gonna get his hands on one of these and reverse engineer it, and make all kinds of claims.

    BASTARD!

Wasn't it a poster here that created this Quintesson? I clearly remember Hal hasseling him over it.

    Dick.

Yeah, that's the reason I thought would make it so pricey. Sad that they can't make as many and seal 'em all. Can you imagine this model being recognized by Hasbro and sold on their site? Price would come crashing down to +/- 30$.

    Ah, what could be...

Man I dig it and eerything but $75 clams, that's a too much for my pocket, though it is custom so I see why the price is high.

Looks cool to me. The price is to be expected for a garagekit thing with a neato lightbulb in it, I think.

    Personally wouldn't buy one, but I think it's a neat venture. :D

This is very cool, if I end up with a little extra cash one pay period, I’m going to pick one of these up.
Well, its not surprising that Hal would pull a stunt like that. What’s amazing to me is that he can even type coherently with his huge, sausage-like fingers.

recieved mine from A3U today and its great well worth the trades i did with spencer, my only issue was one of the faces is very loose and the tenticles take a while to bend how you like em but other than that its very very very well done

Vell, he haz proven zat he ees a bastard.

....and oh so grown up and professional about it....

    http://www.cyberfembot.com/

And his basic rundown from his post on the ALLSpark:

    Taken from: http://www.allspark.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=17600

Oh you just want to slap him.

I never really heard anything about levels of quality on his A.R.C. figures (probably because no one ever received one, at least none that I recall. Anyone here get one?) and from what others had seen, they were shitty at best, requiring a *LOT* of work to get even a recognizable facsimile.

    Pot.
    Kettle.
    Black.

Now shut the hell up Hal, we know you need to save your energy so you can reverse engineer it and slap your name on it.

    Bastard!

His cons are pretty lame. The LED is red? So what? The antenna break? I'm not going to throw it at a wall or anything. He'll say anything to make his seem superior.

He doesn't seem to feel that painting and assembling is a big deal. I (and a lot of others) do.
