Well, not with this dude - look at all that paint chipping.

Had to disassemble him first (which was a pain since one of the screws was stuck and I had to drill it out, HHHH--), then paint the bugger (which was also a pain because I just wasn't able to get an even coat on the yellow).

Now with all that done and with his joints tightened, it's time to put the boy back together with a new O-Ring.

Lovely. Still need to put a sticker on his shoulder, though. Just can't be bothered to dig out my insignias at the moment. :p

Do you HAVE to disassemble the figure before you paint it?

Probably not, but I imagine it makes painting the inside of the 'diaper' a whole lot easier.

No, but it's just something I like to do so I don't accidentally get paint where it doesn't belong.

You did a really nice job here!

I'm with you on taking down a figure as much as you can to paint it. It's much easier to handle that way.

If you need the rest of Over-run, I still have an extra vehicle. Hit me up on PMs if you're interested :)

Thanks! I really don't like disassembly and I needed confirmation that it was possible.

I would, but I don't really have the space to put a big ol' copter. :p  I think I'm fine with having him chilling next to Snarl and Ryu from Street Fighter on my shelves at the moment!
