'ello. I'm UK based, and I bought something off onedaybid a couple of weeks ago (used them a few times before, no problem thus far), and according to the parcel tracking, it's been stuck in china since 6th of May. Now I know there's been some problems with mail from china to certain areas, including the UK, but an item ordered just a couple days earlier turned up ok, and I was wondering if it was time to start worrying?

I'm not based in China but I do have operations I run in China. Some parts are still slowly re-opening due to coronavirus so you might experience some delays. Personally I'll just communicate with the seller. Parcel tracking saying stuck in China could be code for "we're still sourcing the item for you yadayada"

    Hello DD,

I’m from the UK. I’ve bought many items from one*day_bid. The last item I ordered to finally arrive was around the 11th March and it was shipped several days after but got stuck at Shanghai customs. Stayed there for over a month before it had multiple attempts to get on a flight to the UK. That may have not been a direct flight. Anyway, I took delivery of the item on the 7th May. I would add the item was at least 6-7 kilos in weight. I think that helped in its delay. At the same time I ordered that large item, I had smaller items arrive within a week from one*day_bid which were shipped around 14th March (arrived 22nd March).

Overseas post from China to the UK is hit and miss. Tracking info is all over the place.

I’ve had two AliExpress orders going back to early April stuck in China and tracking info not being updated after the 16th April on the THF Hyper Magnus and 1st May for IT Megs. I’ve just checked tracking on the Ultra Mag figure and that arrived at Heathrow today. Hopefully the Megs is about a week behind.

I think you will be ok. Check out this thread. Very useful:

Good to know that stuff is just getting delayed and arrives eventually. The item from onedaybid is pretty small (toyworld goldbug), and since robottoybase is taking orders again I bought something from them as well.

Just have to be patient I think. Strange, since I bought a couple of figures from China about a month ago and they came pretty quickly. Who knows?
