I'll be moving in a few months, so I've got a question abut how I've been packing my figures:

I've been using trash bag halves as a layer between my figures to prevent paint rub, but I'm starting to worry about whether or not this is safe. Can trash bag plastic fuse to paint? Or rubber tires?

I can't say that it'd be any different from packing them in regular plastic bags.

I would just use some bed sheets or pillow cases.

I used almost a million or so 'trash' bags to cushion seperate layers of TFs when I moved house recently. It works like a charm. Do not fear my friend.

You swept the fear away instantly. Thanks.

Heh, that would be a lot of bedding sets. You'll know what I mean in a few years...

I'd say its safe for a move, but trash bags are made to be biodegradable, so if you're doing any long-term storage in a place with fluctuating temperatures, they're a no.

I can't say about trash bags, but I moved last year and had my TFs in big plastic bins, heaped up willy-nilly. HFTD Bludgeon was on top of Energon Storm Jet. The soft plastic in Bludgeon's tread fused with/ate into the soft plastic in Storm Jet's nosecose. The result was red discoloration on Bludgeon's tread and a big, tread-shaped indentation in Storm Jet's canopy. (It makes Superion look like he lost a fight with a tank, so it's not a total loss:) ) Plastic-to-plastic degradation is a real possibility for softer plastics, so exercise caution.
