Sorry if this question has been posted before (I did a search for unicron and couldn't find any threads about it). The Toyfare Hasbro pictures show a new mold for what appears to be a Unicron figure. Its robot mode has Unicron's head, The head is the same, there's the closed mouth on his chest from unicron, yet the robot is reminiscent of G1 Megatron. If you haven't seen it yet, here's a link to Unicron Unicron toy Firstly, is this a new Unicron, or is it merely a herald of Unicron who has been transformed into his likeness? If it is, then what is the story reason in Galaxy Force for the transformation?
you won't find any threads in this forum, cause they'd all be in the news and rumors forum. as for any herald, um, no. this IS unicron, he got his ass handed to him, but as long as primus is alive, he can't be totally destroyed, because good can't exist without evil. He's a tiny tank because he's so severely weakened. there is NO Galaxy Force explanation for this, because this is a toy only in Cybertron. Only Hasbro will be releasing him. and I can't say that I ever noticed any G1 Megatron similarities honestly either? -Andy
He reminds me of BM Tankor and if he's just as solid Im gonna love him. I like seeing Unicron in a smaller weakened mode. Then he can go hand to hand with the other bots instead of just floating around space, moving in slow motion all the time. Show his true warrior skills. Finally Megs can get him in a headlock
It would be kinda cool to work it into the story that the Unicron armor Megatron/Galvatron keeps going on about actually still contains Unicron's spark and eventually takes over Mega/Galvatron.
Well, he's got Megatron's shoulders, so anything is possible. I really like the little guy, I think he might be a bit overdone with all the guns strapped on him, but he is still an awesome toy.
More like Megatron has Unicron's shoulders. Anyway, from the concept we were given at BotCon, this is indeed supposed to be Unicron proper. Not a herald or spawn, but Unicron himself. In somewhat of a "seed" form, after having his body destroyed. This is essentially him in a regenerating stage.
I bet Takara will package it as a U.S.A edition, once again blatantly ignoring the exclusivity of the Hasbro U.S exclusives.
But it's not labelled as an exclusive, and was never intended to be one. Just that they aren't released under Galaxy Force proper. "Hasbro Exclusive" is a term we coined, not them.
all I know is I plan to get him, and he will appear in bad bots II, and yep, Prime's a dick, and Unicron is NOT exempt from his list of victims Andy
