    I think you need charm.
Wrex responds to intimidate by attacking.

Yeah, you need high Charm/Paragon in order to be able to talk him down. You'll get an achievement for that too.

Yeah, you'll be able to save him. And the achievement I was referring to is the one for getting out of an impossible situation using Charm or Intimidate. That particular scene with Wrex is the most obvious one for that I can think of. There's probably others though.

while i'm at it, a couple more questions:
i'm playing as an adept, and all these sites online are saying stuff about "Bastion" and "bonus talents" but i have no idea what they're talking about. i don't see any bonus talents.

and howcome i can't zoom in with my sniper rifle.

I never understood the bonus talents either -although I seem to have received some of them.
You can't zoom the rifle because your skills in that firearm are too low.
One of the few lame things about Mass Effect.

If it's not one of your talents(it's not there to add points to) then your stuck with it like that. The bonus talents would solve that. Basically, every weapon, skill, etc. have get X amount of kils or use X amount of times achievements tied to them. For example, the weapons are somewhere around get 100 kills with each one. When you get those achievements the game also rewards you by adding that weapon or skill to a pool for any new character to choose from as a bonus talent. Pistols being the exception, the bonus there is a twice as long Marksman use.

So if you get 100 kills with the Assault Rifle and Sniper Rifle, and use say, Lift and Throw the required amount of uses for the achievements(all on the same character or across different ones), you can then start a new character, an Engineer for example, and get to pick one of those as a bonus talent that you can add points to. Naturally if you get all the associated achievements with all the weapons and skills, then you'd have a huge pool of things to chose from.

"Bastion" I believe is an unlockable Adept bonus talent buff(1 of two choices) that you get for completing a certain mission in the game and is immediately added directly to your character upon completion. I won't spoil anything, but if you get asked at some point to go take care of something on Earth's moon, go do it :thumb

i see i see. i have the pistol challenge, but since my adept had pistols as a pointable talent anyway, i didnt get to select a bonus talent. that sucks. my sniper rifle is useless to me on this playthrough then. fuck.

Well since you're playing as an Adept why don't you just spam your Biotic powers? Oh and if you want Wrex to survive that one part make sure you get his family armour back. It makes it much easyer to convince him. Btw you do know about the infinite Paragon/Renagade points trick on Noveria right?

Been awhile, but if I remember correctly it relates to the guy in the bar in Noveria who wants you to get into his office. Once you get the info from there and head back to the bar the secretary/agent talks to you and wants you to convince him to testify. When you go talk to him you can pretty much do infinite charm/intimate checks.

I demand you to use google.

On the planet Noveria, head to the hotel bar and look for a Turian named Lorik Quinn. Accept his quest to steal the data from his office. Once you get the data, the receptionist will ask you to get Quinn to testify. Tell her you'll do it, and then go talk to Quinn. From here:

    1) Tell Quinn that he should testify (top left option).

    2) When he refuses, select the Charm option (top left) for Paragon points or the Intimidate (bottom left) for Renegade points and end the conversation.

    3) Talk to him again, and ask about the Matriarch.

    4) When he gets done talking about her, select the "Other questions" option (bottom right).

    5) Now, you'll have the option to ask him to testify again (top left). He'll refuse, and you'll be able to use the Charm or Intimidate option again to gain another 24 Paragon or Renegade points.

Repeat steps 3-5 until you have all the Paragon or Renegade points you want.
