Based on this digibash by catch22: Digibash: - Classics Ratchet

Just painted most of the blue pieces red and modded the neck so the iGear head would fit. Alt mode is unchanged. I might do some detailing or add a lightbar but he's good enough for now.

Yes! I thought I was satisfied with the RID2015 Ratchet but this!!!!! Would love to see it with other bots and how the neck mod was done.

Oh nice. I like how some parts look even better than the Igear, like the legs, even if they are less like a traditional Ratchet.
Can't really say much about the overall custom aside from that though because you didn't post alt mode and I don't know what the f%@k OS Aurora is. I tried to google that and it just brought up some hipster looking band.

Cool! It's a nice modern take on the character.

    Thanks!

I don't have the original Toyworld version but I have no real complaints about the quality. There's a couple joints that are slightly loose but no worse than most other third party figures. There's some size comparisons below.

Sorry, I forget not everyone spends time trolling Sirtoys.com and eBay. It's an OverSized version of Toyworld Aurora, which is a third party take on the throttlebot Searchlight.

The original joint is just a mushroom peg. I cut away the top until it was roughly the size and shape of the ball on Medical Specialist and then took a dremel to the neck of the peg and thinned it to fit in the head socket.

    Here's some comparison pics:

Been wanting to try this for a while! Any recommendations for a different head that would work well for Ratchet/Ironhide? I don't have the iGear figs and would rather not spend the money just for the heads

You might be able to use the kreo Ratchet head with some mods. Otherwise there are a lot of deluxe scale heads on Shapeways and usually the creator will upload a voyager size version if you ask nicely

Just ordered one of these and the Jeep wrangler who I think will work great as ironhide. Cheers for the inspiration...
