So, Ive always thought Wedge, who was in the original trilogy, seemed like a nice guy and wondered if his character has ever been explored in comic books or novels. Anyone know?
Yes, rather much actually. The X-Wing Rogue Squadron books and comics, just to name a few. The comics are good, bit I HIGHLY recommend the X-Wing books by Michael Stackpole. Just be warned, they will spoil a significant amount of other info if you've never ventured into the SW EU (Expanded Universe)
Second the recommendation for Stackpole, pretty good books and easily the best space combat writer thats worked on SW novels. On the topic of comics, the entire XWRS series is handily available in 3 chunky omnibus volumes now. Dark Horse have been doing a boss job of getting their older stuff back into print recently, as well as producing most of the best new SW of the last decade.
True story. I wasn't AS impressed with the XWRS comics, in general, but some of the storylines are really good (Mandatory Retirement, In the Empire's Service, etc.)
Wedge Antilles - Wookieepedia, the Star Wars Wiki Yeah hes had alot to do in the Extended Universe. Most major books and comics are at the bottom of the big entry
I just picked up the first Omnibus of Rogue Squadron today actually am really looking forward to some Wedge action. The novels are definitely in my queue of interests
I'd recommend the novels over the comics. Man I had some good times with those novels when I read them.
