Prime... that's all I've been hearing/reading about at least... if they're carrying Generations, no one's mentioning it.
Prime only, the assortment is; Hotshot, Knock Out, Vehicon, Ratchet, Bumblebee and Arachnid. No they will not go on sale for less than 9.99, that's 5 to 10 bucks cheaper than everywhere else.
They also have Wheeljack and Dead End at some locations. It's a great deal. I wouldn't wait a second longer on these if you have an ALDI nearby. It's a great way to expand and/or complete your Prime collection. The Vehicon for $10 is a steal, especially when you see how much he goes for on eBay.
I didn't see a single Bumblebee at either Aldi's I went to, but I did see all the other figures you mentioned along with Wheeljack and Deadend. They have a pretty impressive assortment.
Same here. No Bumblebees. Seemed almost... odd. A store selling toys that isn't afflicted with the yellow plague. AND sells Vehicons for a paltry $9.99. IT TRULY IS THE END OF THE WORLD!!!
Not necessarily...a few years back, I got a few Universe Legends on clearance at Aldi...also some Lego sets. While I doubt these Transformers will make it to price reduction, Aldi does clearance price items, including toys, incrementally to get rid of them. Basically, if there's anything left on the shelf once the current promo ends, it is moved to the discount rack(s) as they need the shelf space for the items in the new ad sheet. After an item is placed in the racks, a sticker with the normal price (in this case, $9.99) is then attached to it. At this point, even though they're in the discount rack, they're still full price. Once it sits in the rack for a while (not sure how long, though), a new sticker (with a reduced price - usually a buck or so off) will be placed over the old sticker...if it sits in the rack for an extended period of time, a new sticker (with an even lower price) will be attached, and so on. The longer it sits, the cheaper it gets. Not sure if this is how it is done at every store, but this is the procedure at the store I visit. Again, I really can't envision these making it to the first price reduction, so if anyone wants them, pick them up now. Don't run the risk of not getting them versus the potential of saving a buck or two down the road. MIKE engledogg
I stopped in Aldis and the Kre-o and Transfomers were on clearance. Picked up a deluxe Vehicon, Airachnid and Knockout for $3.39 each!
