I've been on the hunt for a 1st Edition Bumblebee. I came across the NYCC Taxi Bumblebee. I don't remember- was this a PRID, or an FE? If it is an FE, then how was its quality? Or should I keep looking for an FE BB?
FE mold. It's...pretty much the same as the single packed FE figure but with a different deco. SO MUCH BETTER than the P:RID mold.
its a FE im pretty sure since its bundled with FE arcee in a g1 deco. it MAY be cheaper to get from HTS if they still have them in stock. especially with coupon codes.
it's FE Bee, just with different paint. Honestly, I say go with NYCC. Both were made around if not at the same time, so quality is the same but I find it on mine and most other NYCC Bees that some of the flaws the normal FE had aren't there anymore. Mainly the small pieces under his headlights...you're supposed to pull them down, and that works perfectly on the NYCC, while it was questionable at best on the normal FE
^^ my two are reversed of that. FE wont come open, Taxi will. I think its just hit-or-miss with that mold.
If I remember correctly, I enjoyed the color of yellow on the NYCC mold as well ... If you don't mind the obvious Taxi deco on the NYCC one I would definitely suggest picking it up. Whatever the case, get the FE mold over the PRID.
not reversed, sounds the same to me. I was saying my Taxi works perfectly, but normal Bee is the problem. But i guess it could be hit or miss, just everything, even joints, just seem more tight on the NYCC one. A friend of mine recently bought normal FE bee off BBTS and the shoulder was all loose, which I never saw before, but still
I have had 3 FE bbs. 1 of those 3 did not have a hip joint where the leg fell off all the time. The FE bb has a "milky" look to the plastic, where the NYCC one is a much brighter, better looking figure, and mine is actually better in tolerances and tightness. The Prid...piss on that thing Good luck finding the NYCC one. Hes really great, and I love the pink arcee too. Great 2 pack.
I appreciate the info. I pulled the trigger on an EBAY auction- NYCC Taxi Bumblebee: $20 with free shipping. Dang- I gotta start selling some of my stuff...
Totally worth that price, too. Only Prime Bumblebee I have, and his yellow is so much nicer than the lemon-color they keep using.
