Ok, so Sludge is found in stasis lock and stuck to a wall while missing an arm. Is it possible for him to still be alive? I mean did Jazz send a recovery team or anything? I mean he is one of the first Dinbots ever, he deserves more then being the "Movieverse Jolt" of Fall of Cybertron.

 

Jazz sent no recovery team, and then that whole area blew up.

A shame too, I wanted to play as an Apatosaurus in FOC multiplayer

 

Death's an odd thing in these kinds of series. While bots can be killed (and Sludge certainly was), they can just as easily be rebuilt (as we've seen with Trypticon and Megatron) -- and Jazz grabbing Sludge's memory core leaves that as a possibility.

 

He will be back. Dinobots don't stay down, even Highmoon has admitted they grossly underestimated Sludge's fanbase.

 

I disagree. Trypticon's body was reconfigured, no one took him apart. His spark could very well be extinguished, but he wasn't exactly 'rebuilt'. Sludge's memory core? Yeah, that's not his 'essence', it's not what makes him who he is. That's not to say Sludge couldn't have still survived though, IMO.

 

What was the point in killing him anyway? it didn't serve any kind of purpose and removed a well-liked Dinobot.

 

Yeah, there wasn't really a reason to, Jazz hearing that audio log wasn't essential to the plot.

 

It was pure Laziness imo. HMS didn't won't to take the time & implement him as a playable character, so they killed him off!

1. If your saying this because he wasent playable in the campaign then none of the other dinobots apart from grimlock were playable so whats so speacil about sludge?
2. High moon did say slude's dino model could not fit in the classes or in the maps and if he was they would of had to change his shape. (in MP)

1. I didn't make that comment because Sludge wasn't playable in the campaign mode, i made that comment because he wasn't playable Period. After all that talk, after all that hype with HMS publicly stating that Dinobots will be playable... well, last i looked... Sludge is a Dinobot & was the only one left out.

2. Yeah, HMS did say they couldn't make him fit??? A new model they created couldn't fit on new maps they also created & didn't fit the classes mold either (that they created)??? How about making a new class for beast modes... Insecticons/Dinobots etc. Face it people, HMS could have done alot more with FOC but instead they took the Laziness route. Just look at all the things that wasn't included from WFC ("all for balance reasons"). Is it this hard for Transfans to believe... Come On!!!

A good plot device should clear that right up.

 

Hell, the Aerialbots blew up in WFC. Trypticon smashed them good, sent limbs flying everywhere. Then they just stroll up afterwards like nothing happened.

 

How do you know they just weren't transforming weirdly and then went off screen?
