Does all the accessories for City commander also work on DIA commander? as in, the missles, the rumble, etc.

The TFcon Powered Commander came with the suitcase, and still commands a price of $200 and upwards. DIA Commander is the mass released version which can be found for under $100 and does not come with the suitcase.

Most accessories work between the five versions of the mold. The biggest difference is that the first generation City Commanders and Shadow Commanders do not have pegs for missile launchers in trailer mode, which prevents you from using DIA Commander in this mode. Only the redesigned missile launchers that came with the second generation of City Commanders is backwards compatible.

Heck, I used the faceplate face that came with my City Commander upgrade kit and put it on DIA Commander so he looks more like Optimus. Too bad his head isn't dark blue...

well when the tfcon first came out sellers where asking close to 1000.00 for it. then the dia commander came out and killed the prices. so then i could afford to waste 100.00 instead of close to 1000.00 for just about the same figure. the dia even has chrome pieces which looks cooler than the tfcon version.

I ordered a DIA commander from BBTS, what I wanted to know is, what accessories do I have to buy to make him "as complete as possible"?

The PE rumbles? The missle pack?

The DIA Commander set is complete as-is. Those Shadow Warriors are made by another company, and are meant for the Shadow Commander trailer anyway.

hm, I see, thanks, that clears up a bit... so... the perfect effect ones are not necessary huh? I always thought they enhanced the weaponry.

What you get out of the box is all that you need.

I personally think they work better with Shadow Commander.

Nope! Perfect Effect is just riding on the popularity of the Commander armors. That's not to say their products are bad -- they're merely unnecessary.

1000? come on, it was 250-300 and i'm glad i got the tfcon version, at least with it the g3 roller transforms for a reason, and i don't like unnecessary chrome, and the silver missiles are nice, i don't have a henkei prime, so it fits the classics one nicely, being a gift helps it's case as well

hm, I don't have the money to shell out a shadow commander, and ultra magnus is expensive, so DIA commander is definitely my first "foot in the door" mold for Fansproject.

Hence why I wanted to now see if PE stuff is worth it

That is interesting. How did you even know when they switched versions? Can I have an exchange then? Sucks to order early.

Are you referring to the similar Powered/DIA Commanders, or the first and second run of City Commanders?
