Instead of just listing I'll tell a story for each console, providing I can remember the details.

Atari 7800: While the details of this system's acquisition are lost to time, I do fondly recall playing the games on this as it was the only system I had for a few years. Ah, the good old days of Centipede and Food Fight and Pac Man, and those games that had like 50 different games on them that were just sort of variations on the same few games. And E.T., except those weren't fond memories.

NES: This does have a story. One day while at my home I received a phone call. Now, a very shy lad, I immediately leapt under the kitchen table for fear of my very life, or something. Fortunately, this was not a call from the devil man come to steal my soul, but a call from the local K-Mart. It seems that my grandmother had entered me into a contest to win an NES. And I did! And after that and for all time (or at least until it got to point where even rubbing alcohol would not fix it) I played such games as Super Mario Bros, and Super Mario Bros 2, and yes, even Super Mario Bros 3.

Game Boy: I had an original Game Boy. That's pretty much it.

Super Nintendo: Not being one of the "rich kids" I did not have another system until the SNES came out. Except that I didn't get it until at least a few months to a year after it came out, I had to wait until Christmas/Birthday time to receive the Super Mario Worldiness, and Super Mario Kartitude, and also NBA Jam! among many others. Ah yes, I believe that before I received this wondrous gift, I wished upon the first star I saw at night to get an SNES. And lo, from the very stars themselves my wish was answered! I do believe I still have mine, and that it works, my brothers were playing Earthbound recently.

Genesis: This was a birthday present, however it has a nice bit of story behind it. My friends and cousins all had both the SNES and Genesis, and I was quite envious of them. I even went so far as to rent a Genesis for a period of days equal to the amount of time I paid for it. So come my birthday, I had not asked for one, only for some SNES games. While I was opening presents, I happened upon a small gift, and opening it I received a game I had asked for, NHL 9x. But what was this?! "My kind and beloved kinfolk," I intoned, with a spot of apprehension touching my voice, "I am deeply moved by my reception of this game, but I fear it is not for the system of which I am of abundance!" But they only smiled, and bid me open my next gift, a larger affair, say, about as big as a game system box? And thus I received a Genesis on that very anniversary of my birth. But alas, my Genesis' fate was not as kind as that of my SNES'. For only a couple years after I got it, I had let spill a glass of soda onto it, and it was forever destroyed. I traded in my games and got LttP and Evo though, so that was sweet.
