I really enjoyed the first one a lot, hopefully this can match the same level and what not. Looking forward to this.

With the new DreamWorks logo and the use of All Star, I would be shocked if we didn’t have a cameo from Shrek, Fiona and Donkey. I was on a Pixar forum around the time of Toy Story 3’s release and someone posted a College Humor parody where the toys laugh about DreamWorks movies, one of them being the first Puss in Boots movie. If you think the MCU has obnoxious fans wait until you read Pixar fans, who at the time were so determined that Pixar was God and that the parody made the toys seem classless and immature and wrong *baaarrrf* I was only on the forum to see news updates for Toy Story 3 but I learned to not criticize Pixar because jeeez. I’m sure they took the failure of Cars 2 well.
REVIEW: Puss in Boots: The Last Wish Is Gorgeous, Existential & Surprisingly Effective They said it was simple but kickass and fun. Banderas being older actually helps his performance. It's a pretty enough logo, but too many logos nowadays rely on showcasing studio characters: DC, Marvel, Star Wars. It feels so unnecessary and showy, in my view. Spoiler There's no Shrek cameo, just Puss goes on a voyage to visit his family at their swamp.
I'd have never expected the comeback of Shrek's sequel sidekick to go right from self-indulgent partying to Shadow of the Colossus to a death montage, and I am so glad I got to see such a rollercoaster. This film is amazing. There's a lot you can say about it, from the character's interactions and motivations to the themes established, and of course the tongue-in-cheek Dreamswork classic of leaving you with odd questions you don't want to think about but they never gave you a straight answer. It's great stuff, really great, and hilarious/awesome that Puss in Boot got such a superb comeback. Jack Horner is my favourite of the antagonists. Some kid sticking his thumb into pies becoming a goddamn Kingpin-esque crime lord loaded with countless stolen magical trophies who is so shamelessly evil is hilarious
Holy shit. That is one of the best movies I've seen in a long time. I would have SWORN Tony Dalton was The Big Bad Wolf. Maybe I've just watched the last 2 seasons of BCS too recently. Turns out I did recognize his voice.
The Wolf is easily one of the top three Dreamworks villains of all time and so much of it was that amazing performance. During the montage of Puss’s nine lives you can actually see him in the corners of the cards. Actually, you know what? 1. Wolf 2. Rameses 3. Fairy Godmother 4. Lord Shen 5. Tai Lung 6. Captain DuBois 7. Tighten 8. Grimmel 9. Kai 10. Farquad With an honorable mention to Drago Bludvist, I just LOVE that design and Djimoun Hounsou’s legitimately intimidating performance. I know he’s technically a pretty lame villain but he’s such a menace and I can’t look away from him when he’s on screen. Oh, and for the hell of it. DreamWorks ranked: 1. The Prince of Egypt 2. I really adore when a movie that has no real reason to be great turns out to be so, especially when it's from a series I have quite an amount of affection for.

Yup, I didn’t catch it in the theater but before I saw the movie I saw someone posting it on Twitter.
This movie had no business being this good. Saw it with my GF because she wanted to see it and I kind of just went along with it but man, am I glad I did. Loved the wolf. Some of the animation reminded me a bit of Into the Spiderverse, especially the "low framerate" movement and use of colour and effects.
“Corre corre, gatito” is gonna stay with me for a long time. As is “and I don’t mean that rhetorically, metaphorically, poetically, or any fancy way. I’m death. Straight up.”
Yeah, like, I liked the first one well enough, but this one? This movie is fantastic! Didn't really expect a spin-off from Shrek to put out a movie as good as this one. DreamWorks really brought their A-game here.
The way his manner and tone becomes exasperated at that part was hilarious in that it’s clear this isn’t the first time he needed to spell it out. Quote wise, I just loved the culmination of Jacks interactions with the conscience bug, “You’re an irredeemable monster!” “Wah, wah, what took you so long, idiot?!”
At first I wanted Jack to kill the bug, because it would’ve been really dark and funny and a great homage to the original Pinocchio story, and unintentionally a take that towards Disney’s Pinocchio remake. But then it just got funnier and funnier when the bug eventually got tired of him and later rebelled against him, so just another thing the movie did right.
