Personally, I think it depends on how much you're paying. If you're getting it for a great price i'd jump on it. I have it and like it better than the Takara version, its got a really nice paintjob on it. However, if you don't have any of the MP seekers yet, be advised that its more of a model than a toy, as its got a lot of semi-delicate plastic parts and a pretty involved transformation. ALso, be advised that the robot mode can only "hover" on its stand, it cannot stand up on its own (in case that matters for display purposes).

I agree on the price, if it's a deal then I say get it. I haven't had problems with my MP seekers, and mine can stand on their own.

Wait,.. is this version of the MP Seeker mold different than the US Skywarp? Because my Skywarp can stand on his own and is very poseable without the stand.

No....same mold. Starscream can stand on his own (without the stand), but it can be scary to do that if you have him on a shelf that's high up off the ground. He can be a bit wobbly, and he is somewhat top heavy. If you work on it, you can get some really nice standing poses, though.

One more thing I'd note about the masterpiece seeker mold is its near total lack of die cast parts. It has a couple, but the toy is predominantly plastic. Its a more delicate plastic, too (more like a Macross figure than a typical Hasbro transformer). All that being said, I think its a fantastic toy, and I own 5 of them (tak and has. starscreams, thundercracker and tak and has. skywarps).

The Seekers have Zero problems standing without support.

you just have to bend the back thruster.

Also, 80 bucks? Yikes.... I've seen a ton for 50 plus shipping. I wouldn't pay that much for a Hasbro MP figure.

I'm actually in the market for this guy too. Where are you guys seeing him for $50? The cheapest I've seen is $70+ shipping (these boards), but someone beat me to it. The Big Bad Ripoff Toy Store has it for a nice price of $110.

Yeah I have 7 of them, and they're all on a shelf 6 feet off the ground and none of them have fallen over. You just gotta angle their thrusters the right way for standing. They stand very well.

I got my Hasbro MP Starscream for $45 shipped off eBay about a year ago, and I can happily say that Hasbro Starscream definitely worth it at around $45 - $60.

Although $70 would be pushing it, but $80? Now that's just unreasonable. Well, it is in my opinion at least.

I'd say jump on it, but then I live in the UK so $80 is about what I usually have to pay for the WalMart Seekers. It's a wonderful display piece, with possibly the best looking jet mode that any TF has ever sported. I would keep in mind that it does veer towards the more delicate end of the TF spectrum though, so take care when handling it. Especially those wing joints. Watch the wing joints.

they stand very well without the...uh... stand. don't forget to straighten the knee joint. it is slanted when in jet mode. should be straight when in robot mode. more stable that way.
