Hey I once thought Kickback was the leader, but then I learned it was Shrapnel. So they might learn about that the hard way.

 

I was able to order both through the new APP and it was pretty easy and smooth. I really like it. I think Ravage is not a preordered he went to paid not pending.

You would you think they come with a better selection for wave one but nope! I might as well quit collecting at this fucking point.

Is this Laser Prime the first G2 figure to show up in Generations that is truly based on its G2 design? Any other G2 figure I can think of is a lazy repaint, a lazy retool, or strayed away from the original design in favor of IDW influence. I can't think of any other brand new mold based on a G2 character that is this close to its original design.

Also preordered Prime Arcee and Laser Optimus. Not attachment to either character but the Arcee looks pretty good. I might cancel laser Optimus but for now keep it.

Well at least Hasbro's gonna be a lot easier on my wallet in 2022 so far, only my Prime obsession will force me to buy any of this, and MAYBE Dragstrip if they reveal a better looking combiner than CW. But based on the design of reveals so far I don't expect leaps or bound with Combiners this year...

 

My opinions on them
- Skids looks a lot better in hand but I'm gonna pass probably since I don't care about G1 Skids if he looks good to me I'll get Crosscut (prefer his look)
- Arcee looks good (as expected she's getting a lot of hate on IG which shouldn't be surprising) could be better the face is the weakest part I'll get her though
- Dragstrip is the standout of the wave he looks great Dragstrip was never my fav. that being Dead end but I need him for Menasor and also he just looks to good to pass up
- Kickback looks good as well didn't get the chance to get TR KB and with insecticons you can have more than 3 so I'll get him can't wait for Bombshell.
- Bulkhead I liked but he looks like Skids so much better in hand definitely gonna get him.
- Laser Prime he looks really good but gonna pass for RID Scourge/Black Convoy

Honestly no need to replace them when you can add to them, cause when you see 1 or 3 Insecticons they're always more

Honestly it the only time recently they've even acknowledged Animated in general (which is sad as someone who grew up with TFA).

knockout is a SS Jazz retool and Soundwave is just a repack of either the Seige or ER mold (Starscream should be fine since that design is more G1 than any of the Prime designs)

 

Iirc Kickback was Rank 7 in his old toy bio while the other two were Rank 6. Venom was Rank 7.5 or 8. So at least among the main three Kickback is the leader.

We did get a G2 Megatron. There's a decent upgrade kit on Etsy. Perfect? No, but pretty darn fun.

 

I was iffy on Bulkhead and not interested in Pr. Arcee when the leaks hit. However the pictures are pushing me over. Enough G1 aesthetic to grab me. I thought Legacy was going to be another half line for me? Dang it.
