I wonder how many people at Hasbro have even seen all of the G1 cartoon.

 

I mean there is a simple answer here: Tech Specs! Kickback, surprisingly, has the highest intelligence and rank stats out of all the Insecticons, at a 9 and a 7 respectively, compared to Bombshell having an intelligence stat one number lower than Kickback and a rank of 6, and Shrapnel having both his intelligence and rank at 6.

 

Weird, they portrayed Shrapnel as the smart one in the G1 cartoon.

 

I've hardly seen any of the G1 cartoon- and I rank pretty high on the Geewunometer. It's shit. Having watched it should not be a requirement to work on the brand.

 

If you haven't seen it I wouldn't call you pretty high on the G1 o meter.

 

There's a lot more to G1 than just the cartoon.

 

I dunno about them, but for me that was my primary source for G1.

I barely read any of the comics.

 

And I always thought Bombshell was the leader.  

 

Do we know if this Menasor will be on par with Predaking size wise or more like combiner wars?

 

I know Predaking got a lot of flack for those thigh attachments to the legs but maybe they could do something similar with hotspot, except have it with Hotspot vs the legs.

 

Maybe they don't do the others for a while and the only reason Menasor is happening is because Motormaster has a few potential retool options (PMOP, Armada Prime)

 

The leakers knew Motormaster and Menasor are coming but haven't seen actual figures or prototypes of them as far as I know. We do know that Motormaster is the Commander for Legacy so we are speculating that since he is not a big bot by himself like Jetfire and Skylynx it will be a Rodimus Prime situation where the cab will form Motormaster by himself and the trailer will become the skeleton for Menasor. As for the height, definitely don't expect a Titan sized combiner. I am picturing he will be close to Siege Jetfire and HasLab Victory Saber in height based on the commander class budget allowing him to be bigger than the CW combiners but still having better joints. We probably won't see an official reveal of Menasor for a year I'd say as Legacy seems to be starting pretty late next year and the commanders don't come out until Wave 3 each line.

 

If Hasbro is going for relative scale accuracy in WFC and post Generations lines, then I suspect Menasor will be more or less be about as big as his toon counterpart.

 

I can see PMOP being retooled if they somehow give him full limbs without upping the budget/price or a Takara Gen Selects Super Ginrai to allow some major retooling at an increased price. Armada Prime doesn't work in my opinion as none of his modes are similar in design.

 

They have been focusing on bot mode scale though, you can't have every mode scale due to the mass shifting nature of G1. Look at the MPG Raiden that is coming out. The individual bots are MP scale but the combiner is barely taller than MP Ultra Magnus. Another example is that CW Devastator is close to being in WfC scale based on the cartoon but the individual bots are too big compared to the other figures. All of the CW Constructicons are big Voyagers which is why the combined mode is so big.
