I know how you feel, man, the way Hauler pulled Hound out of that hole in that one scene before he disappeared never to be seen again made a huge impact on my life. That's the scene that really made me a Transformers fan, not only that but if it weren't for that one scene he appeared in I think my life would've gone in a drastically different direction.
Whenever I'm feeling down I think to myself "what would Hauler do?" and the answer is always "he'd pull Hound out of that ravine and then never appear again" and it brings me great comfort and gives me the strength to carry on.
I don't think many people realise how essential Hauler was to MTMTE part 1 either. It was a pivotal moment in the history of Transformers, the moment that would make or break the brand's popularity. Whether they realise it or not, Hauler pulling Hound out of a hole is the moment that assured the Transformers brand would be able to endure for another 40 years.

If people can beg for Devcon, G1 or Bay, and be taken seriously, I should be able to get my stop light lad

Yeah, I'm sure Hasbro execs see it that way, but if you read the original comics, while gun-heavy, it wasn't exactly jingoistic. Also, the line was popular outside the US. Lots of non-American fans. International variants are highly sought after. Funskool of India was selling new figures of the original molds just a few years ago.

Funny how I see folks who want retools of unimportant characters get support, but are dead against a retool of Hauler from a mold it would look good on. It seems hypocritical to me. It would be a fresh new thing that is based, but what do I know. I like old school G1 stuff, and know it's a long shot. But if one get's made, it will make it even that much better to me.

I know the cheap, easy bet would be a green recolor from Grapple if Hauler gets made, but not what I'm looking for.

I think the one trolling here is you. Hauler never transformed, you don't know what he looks like in robot mode, no one does.

Always was? He was in the show for one shot. Without Clifjumper saying the name, no one here would even know it wasn't Grapple.
Please, please tell us what the difference is beyond sometimes being green. Because no one else can figure it out.

Who is against a retool of Hauler? Certainly not me or anyone else in this forum that I’ve seen.

I'm 100% down for a core SIgnal Lancer, but it'll never happen.

    Because they're cowards.

Look 2 posts up from yours. There's a lot more of that unnecessary stuff in this thread just for saying I wanted Hauler retooled from Bulkhead and mocking me for saying it. I'm not talking about you, you're cool.

    It's also Signal Lancer.

Like I love the dude, but he wasn't even named in Cybertron and doesn't have a toy period.
Best I see for him is a repaint or maybe a remold, but who would they remold into a stop light.

I remember Hauler was in the one scene from MTMTE, his name being shouted by Cliffjumper.

And as far as what we had… it wasn’t much. Our TV was primarily VHF. We received a strong signal from KCRA (NBC), KFIV (Public television), a weaker signal KXTV (CBS) and an even weaker (ABC).

We had an even weaker signal yet that was UHF / syndication- KTVU. That was what Transformers and GI Joe was on. We would also watch Star Trek re-runs, etc. These were the days before FOX started.

Later I got a hand me down TV and I started messing around with UHF, and was able to pull in KTXL and KRBK. That’s when I was able to see a handful of episodes of Voltron, Inhumanoids, & Robotech. Those were also the days when they ran movies at night that often had nudity. God bless syndicated! As long as you were able to pull in the channels at least.

My friends in town had cable and this thing called HBO. They got to see all the good stuff.

And our phone was also on a party line.
