I like the scramble gimmick because I had a blast with them as a kid. The toys came first and foremost. I didn’t have all the Combaticons (only Onslaught and Blast Off), so Onslaught would steal Protectobot and Aerialbot limbs to form Bruticus and fight to maintain control blah blah blah it was fun.

Even if somebody already has the toys, I can see how they wouldn't like Hasbro throwing the Prime name on something that doesn't look like it came from that show. If you're not going to be consistent why even give them these kind of names?

The issue with the scramble city is it results in worse off gestalts. I don’t want CW 2.0 I want good solid combiners. There’s not a single CW combiner that I look at and think “oh that’s great!”. They’re okay at best.

I want them to still do it Scramble City-style, but if it ends up compromising anything, I can live without it. Boy, the CW toys really did age quickly, didn't they? I'll still always like them, but geez...

Here’s another crazy idea, I want power linking from Energon back. That idea was cool!

Yup. Unfortunately many were elusive and Some didn't scale well. Like Arcee. So I was happy to add characters I care about added to my growing G1 army, but then they dropped the ball making Arcee a deluxe again... I just wish they'd adopt a rule to never make / create deluxe sized motorcycle characters again. I bet RotB Arcee will be a deluxe yet again, because in the movie she'll mysteriously size shift to giant form only a head shorter than Bumblebee from a motorcycle :banghead:

Oh how much I would've fallen in love with this legacy line if only the listings read "core prime Arcee"

Haha, you read way too much into my criticism. I don't care about the Insecticons at all

Only thing that truly hurts is still no core class prime Arcee. Had high hopes that she's at least a mini deluxe with a lot of accessories but no..

I would love to see that come back done with modern engineering! Toss in the Multiforce guys along with the Energon ones and you’ve got a fun line!

Oh are people who spent years begging for screen accuracy suddenly realizing what that means for Menasor?

I don’t know if everyone who isn’t a fan of Sunbow Menasor is an accuracy nut. I know I’m not.

I don't care about accuracy but I'm curious about this Menasor because I'd like to see if offloading the combiner articulation to MM's trailer leads to a more sturdy/posable gestalt.

It's something Menasor is uniquely equipped for.

Oh me too. I’m just more into the idea of other combiners who’ve better designs imo.

I have the UW (w/PE parts), and FP versions, so a screen accurate would be great for me. However, just having a better torso mode would be a huge improvement.

Well to being a G1 fan.

15 years of modified G1, kinda G1, G1 inspired, G1 ish... and when you turn 50 you finally get the G1 figure you wanted when you were still in your 30’s.

Feel the love from your fellow fans when you your are told that repainted Octane headmaster with an Optimus head is good enough, and to want a more accurate G1 Optimus makes you spoiled, entitled, and a bad person.

So, redemption lies beyond betrayal (as we’d need to reach redemption before we can go beyond it), but then we’re carried forward to ANOTHER horizon. Gosh, this is complex. I wish Hasbro had considered this existential rollercoaster before committing to Bulkhead.

In other words, they had to get a great deal of mileage out of those molds in order to save costs (which is not totally a bad thing).

I think getting mad at Bulkhead being a “name slap” is dumb when the same argument could be made about Prime Arcee.

“There’s no similarity between this Arcee and G1 Arcee. Maybe it’s because they’re both girls? This is ruining transformers and a slap in the face to any fan who wanted a proper G1 Arcee update! Hasblow being stupid once again!”

I feel bad for writing that even though I disagree with it. Reimagining old characters has been a thing since almost the beginning of the brand.
