Have the people who have Hasbro's ear, IE, the "influencers" said anything though? Notice I also mentioned the eco-packaging. Why does only TF get eco-packaging?

At first I hated it but now I don’t mind how they are doing the release of the black and gold megazord.

Because some people with more money than sense buy them. Then the initiator gets another cut every time said NFT gets re-sold. It's like selling magic beans for the originator.

I remember finding that Megatron Megabolt (the purple one). Those were the good old days when it was relatively easy to pick up exclusives.

Btw, all you guys who said "I think Hasbro has realized there's like 1000 G I Joe fans tops" last night are eating crow today. They knocked the Classified reveals out of the park, revealing 7 awesome new figures. They also revealed a new 3.75" SE/SS O-Ring 2 pack and a Haslab Skystriker. I love that they're doing O-Ring figures again, but I think $40 for 2 3.75" figures and $229 for a Skystriker is well-overpriced. Nonetheless, Hasbro must think there's more than 1000 Joe fans since the Skystriker has a 10,000 order minimum and stretch goals up to 18,000.

The admin of Tokunation/PWRRNGR isn't an "influencer?"

    FB_IMG_1635049563662.jpg

They don't send press kits to just anybody.

It's clear you aren't familiar with the PR fandom and have no interest in fixing that problem. I don't have time for arguments made in the absence of good faith.

Obviously there’s more than 1000 fans based on backing numbers. But how big is that? It doesn’t look like it’s too much bigger than Victory Saber’s combined jet modes which could also transform and was $50 cheaper. I don’t collect GI Joe but this does not seem worth it to me.

Marvel fans were saying the same thing about Unicron and Saber.

Because if you don't collect it, you don't have that context.

    Who?

Kind of off topic but during the Transformers panel, they mentioned that the Transformers Devastation OST was being rereleased, does anyone have the preload links for the OST by chance?

I really really really miss that nice maybe 2 "waves" per year back in the 80s.. And them actually being on the shelves.. and being there for a while, restocked and ready to buy when you got your cash all saved up, you didn't feel panicked at the thought of missing one of a trio or duo when you see them once and you know it will never, ever be seen again.. and every store in your area is 6 months or 6 lines behind.

Umm yeah, I'm not. Never claimed to be familiar with MMPR fandom. I was asking. I don't keep up with "influencers," even for lines I collect.

Honestly I still see the worth of Galactus and Unicron. The size alone makes the prices worth it. And with Unicron it had to look good in 2 modes.

To me, and maybe I’m wrong about size, this seems to be the same size as Victory Saber. But without the interesting stuff like transformation.

But like I said I don’t collect so it’s up to fans to decide. Not hating just don’t get it lol.

Are you really pretending that preorders are anything new or recent?

Pulse has been a *godsend* compared to the days when you'd tune in to ToyFair (if it was even streamed at all) and then hope you refresh the right etailer to get your PO in.

Did people already forget that new product reveals used to be a handful of fan page staff live in auditorium updating a live thread?

And then once Twitter grew popular enough we had live tweets of camera phone pics of slides.

I don't think it is either. It should be roughly the size of an OG Skystriker. It's been a while since I had one, but I think roughly 15". It's really something that should sell closer to $80-100 at most IMO. It reminds me of the MOTU stuff that Mattycollector sells. $220 for a set of 4 5" figures that retail for $15 each? $210 for a set of 3 $15 figures? $90 for a repainted blue HeMan and Battle Cat that were $35 combined at retail? Cash grab.

The thing is, though, I am a Joe guy, and I'm saying they overpriced those.

I believe this Prime hesitated to kill Megatron and fell to the former's plasma cannon, was rescued with his Spark core somehow intact. The Autobots greatest minds put him back, but reluctantly invited a mnemosurgeon to make a very subtile change to his memory. The Mnemosurgeon restored his memory of Ariel and their death by Megatron. Laser Prime would request further upgrades upon awakening, becoming a Prime consumed with Vengeance.

Ditto. And many figures would be available for 3 years straight in the Joe line at least. Now you don't get 2 weeks to decide if you want something in some cases.

No, I'm saying people have had enough of this every week or two reveal and pre-order deal. It's gotten old fast.

ETA: Found these dimensions online for the OG Skystriker: "22.5" from front tip to back, 21" from wing tip to wing tip." Still, it was under $100 last time they re-released it IIRC. This should have been $149 max IMO and that's IF it includes all the stretch goals.

Man the amount of contempt Hasbro has for for 3.75 inch GI Joe fans is staggering.

$40 for a Storm Shadow and Snake Eyes two pack.

A $230 skystriker, slightly larger and with more details, some movable parts, and packin accessories than the last one (which went for $35 MSRP). It's $100 cool. But $230? Yowza. I certainly hope they somehow do some pit crew troop builders.

I don't understand how we got Haslab Victory Saber for $190.
