Just sit them out, no one's expecting you to keep watching if you've already seen what you came for.
I’m very intrigued by your levels of love for the insecticons
They are donating a toy to Toys for Tots for each view the streams get. You could pop in tomorrow to add a view to the count.
I just can't wrap my mind around why this specifically is what's bothering so many people because regardless of what they're calling the figures, it's sooooo painfully obvious that this is exactly what they're supposed to be. No one's expecting you to replace your older figures with them and display them with Prime stuff. We even heard it directly from the guy who designed them. It'd be one thing if Hasbro had teased them ahead of the reveals as being show-accurate Prime figures, but they didn't.
I bit the premium bullet too and we also get first dibs on the 5% stock of store exclusives pulse gets so I won’t have another ER Thrust fiasco. Stupid Target has cancelled every preorder I have ever done with them, not even all exclusives!
Oh. Boy . The level of disappoint is strong in this lot.
Kickback just...kicks back on his back and turns his head over.
Arcee sprouted a few extra tires.
Bulkhead reminds me of generations
Roadbuster and I can't decide if that's good or bad.
Dragstrip? So we're getting another Menasor? He feels like the only genuine attempt to improve on previous models.
Skids is a mess. I'm looking forward to the MP which is like the cost of a leader and one deluxe these days so yeah, gonna skip.
Laser Prime feels like all the bells and whistles from Earthrise/Kingdom Prime were stripped in favor of some shoulder missile pods. Transformation looks predictable. I think I'll wait for the inevitable Scourge repaint instead.
Galvy. NGL Galvy looks niiiiice and TRON-tastic with all the glowy panel-lining. 1987-me is having a dopamine-seizure on the ground right now, but 2005 me looks at all that clear plastic...why, hasbro, whyyy?
I'm usually not this down on the brand but considering the last couple of lines of things being borderline decent, this feels like a definite step back.
Very much so
Kickback is a “damned if you do and damned if you don’t situation.” Both his G1 toy and cartoon model did just lie on his back and flip his head around. If they did change up the transformation then people would complain he wasn’t G1 enough.
You must watch all of it and then submit a 5 page essay on the event. Then after that is done we want you to cut down the mightiest tree in the forest with......
Arcee - woof, she looks rough. A nose on a Prime character? G1ification isn't flattering. Clearance buy if I do.
Bulkhead - I've said my piece. I'd buy Bulkhead maybe on clearance as well.
Drag Strip - lots, and lots, and lots of yellow, but that's accurate. Buying because I will simp for a good combiner
Skids - skeptical but preordered him anyhow. Upper body and vehicle mode look good. Legs are rough
Kickback - I wasn't expecting to say this, but the best deluxe of the bunch. Excited for Shrapnel and Bombshell
Laser Optimus Prime - the clear winner of Wave 1. There is a wee bit too much gray in the chest, but I can always paint it.
The amount of stock people put into what's written on boxes really is staggering.
I have always had an irrational appreciation for Kickback, but never really cared about the others.
I’m starting to think that the Joe fan base is like 1000 people at most.
Although they are generally late getting in product, you don’t have to worry about them canceling on you.
I dunno, the Legends Kickback from years ago found a way to make his bug head less "just Kickback looking down" that worked great
So we're getting Energon weapons that are made of blue transparent plastic with painted on silver and we're getting Armada Starscream...
I feel like if Hasbro were to try to do that gimmick, they'd want more than 2 compatible figures for it. So, my guess is we'd get two Energon Autobot molds, one mold gets heavily retooled into another Energon character or a new version of a G1 character or something and put in the mainline, and the other gets redecoed/minorly retooled into something more off the wall as an exclusive.
You'd think the same fandom that endorses third party products with names like "Thomas" and "Purple Potato" wouldn't care so much about what the figures are officially labeled as.
'til all are one indeed
Who said they're even calling them Prime figures? Is it going to say that one the box? It seems like people are basing too much on the leaked listing names.
I don't propose to read the thoughts of other forum users, but for me personally it's that the G1 and Beast Wars characters get to be show-accurate, but for some reason it's only the Prime characters that get to be "reimaginings".
Either show-accuracy should be the standard or everything should receive modern reimaginings. It's a double standard.
The past few product lines have made me expect a certain design philosophy, which Legacy ****mostly**** adheres to. But for some reason it's only Arcee and Bulkhead that deviate from that.
Separate names with a comma.
