The amount of stock people put into what's written on boxes really is staggering.

I have always had an irrational appreciation for Kickback, but never really cared about the others.

I’m starting to think that the Joe fan base is like 1000 people at most.

Although they are generally late getting in product, you don’t have to worry about them canceling on you.

I dunno, the Legends Kickback from years ago found a way to make his bug head less "just Kickback looking down" that worked great

So we're getting Energon weapons that are made of blue transparent plastic with painted on silver and we're getting Armada Starscream...

I feel like if Hasbro were to try to do that gimmick, they'd want more than 2 compatible figures for it. So, my guess is we'd get two Energon Autobot molds, one mold gets heavily retooled into another Energon character or a new version of a G1 character or something and put in the mainline, and the other gets redecoed/minorly retooled into something more off the wall as an exclusive.

You'd think the same fandom that endorses third party products with names like "Thomas" and "Purple Potato" wouldn't care so much about what the figures are officially labeled as.

Who said they're even calling them Prime figures? Is it going to say that one the box? It seems like people are basing too much on the leaked listing names.

I don't propose to read the thoughts of other forum users, but for me personally it's that the G1 and Beast Wars characters get to be show-accurate, but for some reason it's only the Prime characters that get to be "reimaginings".
Either show-accuracy should be the standard or everything should receive modern reimaginings. It's a double standard.

The past few product lines have made me expect a certain design philosophy, which Legacy ****mostly**** adheres to. But for some reason it's only Arcee and Bulkhead that deviate from that.

I meant more as a test and if it goes well start doing the others and Landcross.

    Lol quite true.
Of all the kickbacks I have, POTP midgetkricket is actually my fave. He does a decent job of shifting things around for a credible robo-bug mode and a respectable bot mode.

I think this line may be relying too hard on name recognition and unnecessary/obtrusive accessories that I'll wind up --losing-- forgetting about in the packed storage bin anyway.

I honestly wouldn’t have minded a little bit of change up even if it sacrificed accuracy. But I’m not mad with what we got, love the insecticons.

I also think the amount of discussion is getting a little ridiculous, but to be entirely fair:

To me ‘Prime Universe’ definitely rings different than just ‘Prime’. And regardless of what they’re called it’s clearly supposed to be it’s own thing. If the Bumblebee Studio Series Optimus was called ‘G1 Universe Optimus Prime’ I wouldn’t get upset that it isn’t a true update of G1 Prime because regardless of name it’s doing it’s own thing while borrowing from last incarnations.

I don't think so. Quantities have been available in the thousands and sold out quickly.

I'm greatly amused at how they said "Let's test your Transformers knowledge with the previous Bulkhead toys!" then forgot the original Bulkhead.
