Then it hit me...what better way to reuse the Pretender Monsters than with other monsterous Pretenders? Take the Decepticon shells and translate them in to new beast modes.

Landcross is an odd duck since it's also got the duobot aspect to it, but let's be crazy and suggest Dash, Tackle, and Tacker could be Energon Autobot reuses.

They based the Kingdom Titan Ark on the Last Autobot whose face was pretty much the Autobot symbol, so I'm thinking they're doing the same for the Nemesis.

Someone mentioned a throne/electric chair based on Kaon. If that were the case it would seal the deal for me.

From a lore point of view, the Fallen/Megatronus having a face that inspired the Decepticon logo and a head that inspired their crown would be fantastic.

Capped off with the literal Throne.

We'll have a better sense when we see how they adapt Animated designs.

I'm expecting a lot more panel lines and greebling. The greebles are an easy trick for them to get a retool out of the same mode since they can have an alternate character's details in there that can be "called out" with different paint apps.

Prime and Animated tend towards more simplistic designs with smooth curves and I think that conflicts with the blockiness and the greebling that is necessary for redecos.

Plus, Bulkhead was designed with the intent of being a G1 Bulkhead before the "universes" concept crystallized.

Hm. It really depends on which version of Megatronus they do.

The Titanium/IDW version is similar to Tarn but blockier and shares details with War Within Megatron.

RiD 2015 Megatronus shared tooling with Bludgeon and would look at home on Tarn's mold.

Prime Wars Megatronus was inspired by Galvatron.

Power of the Primes Megatronus was inspired by Pretender Bomb-Burst.

Those aren't energon goodies, that's a cyber-vape. Heard it's all the rage with young cybertronians these days.

I do think if they figure out a decent 2-bot combining system (or at least specifically connection system) it should be used for both Energon Autobots and the Multiforce, but if they're also gonna keep the Multiforce's 6-bot combination into Landcross, I don't want the Energon Autobots having to deal with whatever additional compromises will have to be made to get that to work by straight-up sharing molds with them.

Hasbro has a modernized version of the Brainmaster gimmick, I'd think they would do full-sized Brainmasters first.

Finally had time to consolidate my thoughts on Evo Wave 1:
    • Core Class Dinos: The individual bots definitely look iffy, but if the full combined mode turns out relatively decent or fun, I'm game. Been really eager for them to try out Legends-scaled combiners (begging for Micromaster Sixteams).
    • Breakdown+Needlenose: No thanks.
    • Hot Shot: He seems fine. I think I like him a bit more than Starscream because I had lower expectations for him. Hot Shot's Armada design was always my least favorite form for him during the UT. Wish the kibble management was better, though.
    • Scraphook: Best Deluxe of the wave. Awesome new Junkion design. I really feel like they've improved on the Weaponizer gimmick with each iteration. He makes me very excited for the rest of the Junkions.
    • Tarn: Genuinely blown away by this one. Dynamic proportions, superb articulation, pretty much no hollow spaces from what I've seen. Only issue he really has would be the visible hands in altmode, but aside from that he's solid.
    • Lio Convoy: Aside from the somewhat dopey lion's face, he looks great to me. Don't really collect the Beasties but I've always liked Lio Convoy so it's a maybe.
    As for poster stuff:
    • Junkions definitely look wild. Will be interesting to see what the robot mode of the muscle car looks like.
    • All four Deluxe insecticons is surprising.
    • Don't collect Titans, so Nemesis is not for me.
    • Animated Spacebridge is cool. If that implies TFA Prowl, I hope he turns out well.
    • Armada Prime has risen. Art is 100% based on the stylized Takara prototype, but we will have to wait to see if they use that proto for the Commander release. Either way, I'm hyped.
For me, this has probably been the most positive I've felt to an overall wave in a while. I'm not even sure if I've felt majorly good about any Legacy Year 1 wave at all.

If it's like the Ark, it'll just be "Decepticon Nemesis" and the bot mode would just be inspired by certain elements but not have a bot mode name.

    Ebay:
Imma call it Liege Maximo because the Liege is supposed to be huge AF.
And the one who spawned the lineage that resulted in Megatron and the Decepticons.

Oooh nice idea. Maybe have a smaller, deluxe Liege included.
We never really knew what he turned into, so a throne would honestly work.
