I feel like Leo Prime's lion mode really could've benefited from painted eyes, keeping them the same color as the mane kinda just makes him look like he's wearing some kind of creepy porcelain mask
Should've covered the entire face with the white piece and painted it, like the original toy. It still doesn't fix the fact that his face is too long though.
Siege is already three years old. Prime Wars older still. Try harder. Oh that does look good. The boxart gives him red eyes, which also looks good. Also may have been more practical given the red paint was already out for the figure in general. But yeah, something to pop against the rest of the head would have been nice. EDIT: My mistake, eyes were gold in the art. I was thinking of the red in his mouth. The glow in the art makes the yellow stand out more and the red broke up the white. I get they were going for a real lion, but maybe a less neutral expression would have helped a bit. Like how he's snarling in the pic.
Sweet. Yeah that definitely helps make his face look less awkward. Will for sure sand those down on mine and give him pupils (and maybe change the eye base color from gold to either orange or white).

I'm waiting to see what third parties come up with for Pointblank. He could do with a bit of Toyhaxing too but I think there's a makings of a great toy there.
It took me awhile to realize but Magic Card Slicer has Micron Legend Rampage / Wheeljack colors. While those aren't his Actionmaster colors I dig it. It's funny, "Slicer" fits Rampage as a name much more than Wheeljack ever did.
Yellowing of that nature was first noticed on stuff like Cyberverse Arcee and Grimlock. Those are approaching 3 years old. Dr. Wu is going to make bank if they start coming out with articulated partners for guys like Blank and Hot Shot. Wonder if they'll take a run at Star Saber.
I couldn’t deal with Motormaster’s 'stripped' trailer, so if that is any indication I'm gonna keep my expectations low for the trailer. Then a solid inner Optimus Prime robot - with little compromises - could win me over.
Idk the more I look at Leo Prime, the more I like it I think the lion face, while creepy, is actually pretty accurate to a real lion… I think maybe they should’ve tried to bring the mane edges in a little more so the face doesn’t look quite so big, but all-in-all, I think it’s looking better than the MP in terms of playability and even the robot mode sculpt, in my opinion. Will be curious to see what kind of retools/repaints we get from some of these guys, but Gen Selects has slacked off a lot lately… I know we have these sub lines like Velocitron now which is nice, but we still don’t have things like Overcharge from Blitzwing, or even white Astrotrain for that matter. Twincast…
Is that SG Soundwave a new mould? It looks so different- it looks like the Siege version but transform into a cassete?
Tarn is intriguiging, but that\'s about it for me. I would jump all over the Orion Pax set, if him amd Alpha Trion werent just remolds of Kup and Scourge. I could live with Orion Pax, but it just seems super odd that the leader of the Autobots shares an alt mode with a Unicron creation. For me, its a turn off. Even though I do like his robot mode look.
