He's probably been watching the news lol. He's right too- if you follow through on what is going to happen in the UK given the ongoing economic chaos.

 

I suppose so, though with how things are it’s tough to guess just how bad it’ll be, but I still feel that as far as action figures go, the cost of living and the cost of toys isn’t hugely worse than in some other places.

 

Regarding UK pessimism: They did announce that the premiere of D&D movie toys will be at MCM.

 

Anybody know around how long it is or how long last year's was?
Only thing I could find was that for SW they unveiled 4 Black Series figures.
Given that its starting 5pm Hasbro time I think it won't be that long which means it'll be a lightning round if they try and hit all the brands.

But in the UK it is going to be comparatively worse than other western countries- and as such you would guess that the UK collectibles market is going to shrink a good bit compared to 2020 and 2021.

 

Its unfortunate that due to how things are at the moment people don't have as much disposable income to spend on wants when you have to worry about needs. Obviously being able to keep a roof over your head and food on the table is more important but naturally as humans we still have wants and such.

The total number of reveals varied. Transformers showed off Selects Lift-Ticket, that was it I believe.

So don't go in expecting more than one or two reveals. Especially if it's Omega Sentinel. They'll want to show that bad boy off.

 

Think he'll get as much retooling as Zarak?

 

I dunno. Maybe? I'm not familiar with the character to know what kind of tooling it'd take.

 

The retooling on Zarak was partly to be more Masterforce accurate and partly to reference his cameo in Zone, which was a deep cut. The original G1 toy was just a Scorponok redeco.

The Guardians were only in two episodes of G1 (and an eHobby toy pack-in comic). They were the Autobot police army who fought a young Megatron back when Orion Pax was still Orion Pax. And they appeared in a darker color scheme as Quintesson enforcers back when Alpha Trion led the Autobot revolt against the Quintessons.

Army builders on both occasions.

I’m guessing the Legacy Evolution leaders will be shown tomorrow, since they said at Pulsecon they couldn’t because of covid delays.
