I'm sure if SG figures continue to sell well we will receive additional releases. The same for the comic, though the team isn't guaranteed to be the same.

Is SG Jetfire in Starscream colors? The figure is great but I'm not sure I want to shell out for a commander recolor.

Edit: SG Jetfire is black with purple. That might look really nice.

I’m not sure the reason for it was Funpub being creative but rather them also being restricted to certain available molds at the time. They had a lot of figures from Classics and the UT which came out fairly recently at the time. Personally I’d love it if Hasbro used molds from the supposed upcoming UT figures but knowing them, this is also them testing the waters to see if the concept can float without being too accurate. They can always decide to release more accurate versions down the line anyway if they think the demand is there.

The figure that was repurposed for SG Skyfire was also repurposed as a Decepticon warlord in TFCC fiction, so shouldnt be a problem, esp since Jetfire has the faction switching gimmick.

 

It will probably be a red Decepticon logo.

 

I maintain my opinion that Hasbro is rebooting the concept of the Shattered Glass universe from the ground up, and therefore there's nothing for them to be accurate to. I'm not expecting this to be a continuation of the FunPub continuity.

 

Blurr looks pretty good. I hope they build SG into something more amazing.

 

I just hope that this line does well enough for this to become a reality.

I initially didn't really like this Blurr, but the face and paint are vibrant....I'm going to give it a chance. I hope they really go all out with Megatron, I just had an idea, what if he ends up with two barrels that end up on his shoulders? They would look great in tank mode. Just no way to know how far they would take it. I hope it's not ER Megatron, but I'm still hopeful it will be nice.

But I really hope Bee or Megatron is next and I hope it we get all of these this year.

 

Oh I’m not expecting the continuity to be the same that’s for sure, but considering they did stick with the FP colors for Prime and Ratchet, and also for Blurr, we do know they are looking at FP’s SG verse for inspiration. What I think a lot of people are hoping for are designs that are close to the original figures - especially when the original figures looked great with them - I’m thinking of SG Megatron and Starscream’s use of their UT designs.

 

Now i'm curious if they are even going to give them new molds... or they are just going to redeco Siege Megatron & Starscream... again. Honestly i would be surprised if they extensively retool Kingdom Galvatron to convert into a spaceship instead of a cannon.

 

Well the rumor was that SG Megatron and SG Starscream were going to be using their ER and Siege molds respectively. It'd be great if that wasn't the case though, because I really love how well the UT molds looked in their original appearances.

 

If SG continues past these 5 figures, there are some SG characters that would likely need new colors, like Galvatron.

 

The bios also seem to be using the Fun Pub stuff as thier basis too; all the stuff mentioned on Blurr's bio is from the Fun Pub material.

 

Hasbro's being really clever with the rollout here, because the initial assumption is this is the low-effort simple repaint line, but here's Blurr with a remolded head. And it casts some doubt, and leaves open some hope that there will be some remolding, and just maybe Goldbug will be the ER Runamuck figure or something more reminiscent of the original, and so forth. So I get where you're coming from.

 

I would so much rather have Grimlock than Jetfire. I also hope they find a creative way to do Jazz (since the original SG one was also designed to be a classics Jazz should someone want to repurpose him). I really hope they do more than five figures.

 

That's what I'm thinking too. Like ER Megatron could have new shoulders.

Weirdly the most popular SG character is Soundwave....I'm wondering why they chose Blurr over Soundwave. I guess you gotta have an Ace up your sleeve right?.

 

I hope these are successful enough to where Hasbro does either another Capsule or puts some more SG decos in Selects.
