Cross your fingers that they tweaked the plasticizer formula after the first batches of Siege blast effects because their testing departments caught on to the time-delayed leeching/damage.

current plan is to wait for Beast Megatron to make the rounds with the full online community before i buy one. that way, i can be sure there is/isn't an issue with his rubberised sections before i buy/ignore him.

Is there any way to effectively counter or fix this though?

My Star Wars Republic Commando figures are semi-melting. What's worse is the dust collecting on them got caught in the melting. After a few rounds of washing with cold water and gentle scrubbing, I have addressed the worst of it. Is this the same type of issuer as the melting rubber/plasticizer leakage?

Sooooo, is the Matrix effect with Studio Series 86 Hot Rod going to melt the Matrix if I keep it attached?

I mean it's all an experiment when testing these thesis. I would recommend not to, especially if it is in direct contact with heat of any kind.

To be clear about this issue, if I keep the blast effects from my Siege Battlemasters and whatnot out of any excessive heat sources for a long time when I'm posing them or taking photos of them, the soft plastic shouldn't start to affect the hard plastic, right?

Ok, so I’m a newcomer to this thread. My question regards Kingdom Megatron. I’ve heard some board members voice concern over the longevity of the plastic used. Are there any issues currently with the plastic used on Kingdom Megatron? And is there potential for issues to arise in the future? Thanks.

Ok, thank you. Also I just reread my original post and I’m asking about the future like someone here is a time traveler. Sorry about that.

Quite alright. It's too early to tell. Some rubberized plastic has been good some has been bad

Example Beast Hunters Ripclaws tail has a rubberized spine. It's not melting plastic

Its a very odd condition. Had to get rid of demolishor and bludgeon because of their problems but ROTF deluxe class Rampage, same black treads, I've had two copies over the course of 11 years and neither one has ever showed any signs of degradation.

So is every ROTF Bludgeon inevitably going to destroy itself? I really like the design of that figure and I'd love to get one, but if it's common for the mold I don't want to waste my money.

I wouldn't waste your time. Its an extremally frequent offence with this toy. Had to get rid of mine unfortunately.
he's someone else's problem now. if you want to preserve anyone else in your collection who might come in contact with him, dont buy one. save yourself
    a headache.
Unfortunately, there a no current plans for a new Bludgeon in the mainline.

It's crap like this that makes me hesitant to even want to buy anything for my collection. The last thing anyone needs is self-destructing collectibles.

Amazing no 3rd parties have jumped on this and make some non-rubber treads for Bludgeon after almost 4 years since this discovery. There's definitely only a limited market for it but I'd be first in line.
