I went and checked mine. Unlike the majority of my transformers that are stored in sealed plastic containers under my bed, my CW figures were actually in a small cardboard box I had just for them, but like the flaps were tucked in so the top wasn't actually covered/sealed in anyway. Couldn't see any visible issues with mine.

I don't remember which Aerialbot was which mold, but I have Blastoff. Do I have to worry if he's stored in the original packaging?

My G1 CW Megatron's treads seem to have slightly melted the paint on the wheels that have them, or perhaps that paint had become tacky. The actual plastic seems fine, and the Armada one is still just fine as well.

Well, time to open up my baggies of battlemasters I have stored with their respective blast effect pieces and separate them in different baggies.

And the take the excess Sky Lynx blast effects out of lynx's butt storage. Omega, Jetfire, Scorponok ok.

Uh... the blast effects are pretty much the same as the effects that comes with Marvel Legends, right? Guessing those don't have the same destructive behavior on Marvel Legend figures?

No because the way those types of figures are made, the figures themselves are made out of the same softer more flexible plastic, where as transformers is more solid and sturdy (needed obviously for the nature of the toy with transforming it)

Blegh, checked my Bludgeon and the treads are starting to melt some of the plastic. Shame, such a great figure killed by bad quality control. Hope Hasbro actually makes a Bludgeon that isn't either exclusive to a cartoon line (RID), is massively out of scale (POTP), or both (Cyberverse).

CW Aerialbots seem fine though, checked the nosecones on all the jets, and they haven't melted anything.

That looks more like a failure of the hinge itself, and less of an eaten plastic type of deal. That breakage is in a spot where the rubber part doesn't really touch at all. The ends of the hinges, where the rubber pins in, that's an area I'd worry about.

I'd agree, I know people were concerned about that one because once this thread was made than people decided any figure with soft plastic is gonna break. But unless I start seeing more documented instances with that mold, I'd agree with your observations and statements as well.

Finally went and separated my blast effects from my Siege figures. I had them stored in plastic Sterilite containers for about 10 months and noticed no damages on the siege figures thankfully.

WFC3 was meant to be Uniron Trilogy so thats clearly where they were going with it. Slowly adding minicons to the micromaster class

At this point it may be best to start looking at 3D printable options for some of these parts. I'm very tempted to remove all my aerialbot nosecones when I get home. It's not worth keeping them on if they are the same ticking timebomb as bludgeon.

Unless I missed it somewhere, so far only one person said they had an issue with theirs? The problem with this thread is people start posting pics/stories of any toy they had that broke and blame it on this when it had nothing to do with the soft plastic and more of something else like the person posting about their Mindwipe a few days ago. From the pics it was clear where it broke was because of the hinge piece, which depending on the mold, that type of piece can break easily on any figure due to stress or how its handled.

The poster said specifically that the plastic was melted. Looking at the spot he is talking about, there's nothing else that can really happen there besides melting. We already know that CW Megatron from the same line has the issue. Seems reasonable.
