Oh God...what about the Rubbery PRIME weapons and parts like Ratchet's blades, Prime's blade, starscream's knees and missiles and head crest, wheeljack's swords, and dreadwing/skyquake's nosecone and tail fins ?!?!?

Do we know if Alternators are affected too?[/QUOTE]

I Would suspect so. I don't own any but I've handled a few. if they all have this on their tires my guess is yes.
Its accurate to describe this thread as abandon all hope. there are SO many figures that use this material it is nearly impossible to find them all.
in order to save other figures is it best just to get rid of the "affected" ones?

Anyone else own Lockdown or rampage?

No signs of it with my rotf Lockdown or the few Alternators I could reach easily. My Bludgeon was already found affected when this first came out and given rubber removal surgery.

All I can say is, I hope they've finally fixed the rubber issues in time for the Studio Series Constructicons. Because the fact that this problem were found in as recent a toy as CW Megatron really worries me. I intended to collect all the Devastator components myself, and I don't mind spending money on transformers in general because you can usually resell them for most if not all of what you paid for them. But if it turns out Rampage and Demolishor 2.0 are melting five years down the road, completely sinking their value, I'm not going to be happy.

I know right? You'd expect this crap to happen 20+ years later. Not 5.

    October 2017...

As of 2017 it looks like they were safe. I know my Animated Blurr and Shockwave are still fine from what I can recall handling them a few weeks ago...

I should check my CW Megatron, now. It's been a while since this became a thing, wouldn't hurt to give him a check up.

I gave away my Prime figures but before I did my Dreadwing had the plastic around the nose cone all fall off. I was just transforming him one day and pieces fell off. Idk if it's due to the rubbery nose cone or not. Next time I go to my friends I'll take a picture.

I just discovered this thread yesterday and after I got home, I checked my figures that were affected by this thread and nothing.
Mine are on shelf in a room that gets hot in the summer and cold in the winter, so I wonder what could cause this.

Any chance Thrilling 30 Blitzwing is affected by this with his rubber nosecone?

So far I've checked several other figures including:

    ROTF Ravage: unaffected.
    HFTD Voyager Prime: unaffected.
ROTF Voyager Skywarp: Sealed and unaffected. ....so far.
DOTM Deluxe Thundercracker: Unaffected since I got him. 2011.
DOTM Voyager Megatron: unaffected. so far. bought this one on eBay.
DOTM Crankcase: Unaffected since I got him. 2012
DOTM Voyager Shockwave: has been unaffected since I got him. 2013
    Even more recent ones like
TLK Deluxe Slug and strafe: Safe
SS Voyager Starscream: (don't see why there would be anything there....yet.)

And finally one I thought for sure
    ROTF Deluxe Thrust:
anyone who has him should probably keep an eye on him.
MINE doesn't show any signs yet but the nose cone (the way its assembled) doesn't technically touch the plastic.
but I'm almost POSITIVE its made of the exact same material. I would be suspicious of the same on skywarp.
