Heavy/Scratch: Prowl and Wheeljack pinewood derby cars

    These aren't technically transformers but I thought you guys would appreciate them. My two 7 year olds and I made these for their pinewood derby race that we do once a year at church. (Part of the AWANA program, if you're familiar with that) They came up with the idea of making them transformer characters and since they share my love of G1 they settled on Prowl and Wheeljack. I did the shaping, they did final sanding, then I taped off and they did all the painting. Unfortunately we didn't win any design awards this year but I think they came out pretty good and the boys and I were pretty excited with the final products. Enjoy!

    Funny, I did an Armada Prime one for scouts one year. Got second place

    I don't know what the Awana rules are, but when I was in the Scouts, we took a second block, cut it in half and glued it to the base block so we could make proper wheel wells.

    Yeah, I wish I could've done that. The AWANA rules don't let you add onto the block, unless it's on top.
