    I still remember the shock, and I felt really bad for the original toy designer :(

    It looked so good in planet and bot mode. The pot-belly just pushed it's awesome-ness over the edge.

    I thought it was reasonably clear that I understood that. Point is, it's beautiful, I'd sell a child to buy it, and it's a shame that whatever reason that art was commissioned wasn't at actually make it into something. Happy?

    I've often seen toys that were painted better on the prototype than the actual toy looked. I'm always really disappointed when I see the toy. A couple recent ones are ROTF Wheelie (Not that he's a good toy to begin with but the original paint had silver teeth instead of gray and detail paint in the eyes where the actual toy is just a solid color.) and DOTM Sideswipe. I like the new convertible mode for Side Swipe but it looked better in silver instead of this odd white color. (Also I might add that the color was very deceiving to my color blind eyes. It looked to be a normal silver when I picked it up at the store but then I realized how crap the color scheme was after I bought it.)

    Victory Leo's prototype shows moveable barrels on the smaller cannons and a retractable barrel of the main gun.

    G1 Astrotrain originally had arms that could extend to look more in proportion.

    G1 Tankor originally had a slide up chest to make hime a bit taller and more in proportion.

    100% agree on that. Sad to see people on Macross boards adore this guy as if he's some kind of god. The VF1 ( and the Mospeada Alpha fighter ? ) are his only Masterpiece designs imo.

    Lol, yeah... and those same people claim Kawamori to design realistic looking jets....while this VF17 ( and the VF22) have design features which totally go against the design principles of the stealth airplanes they were loosely modeled after.

    Anyway, indeed Kawamori effed up the MP SS design. Especially the legs/feet of the prototype look a lot better imo.

    Marauder Megatron is miles better than any of the Animated Cybertron Mode Megatrons released, even giving the Leader class Megs a run for it's money.
