Closest was in 2001/2002: Several final Beast Machines toys (Bruticus, Megabolt Megatron, and Supreme Optimus Primal) which were cancelled got released in the Robots in Disguise line. The whole range of basics in Machine Wars and one of the Spychanger sets in RiD were leftover G2 figures which had not seen release.

The big thing with those is that molds were finished for them. If Hasbro casts molds, you can be certain they'll try and use. Cosmos had NOT reached the point where usable molds had been cast. If we see him, he'll be effectively an entirely new toy (beside, the Classics concept was better designed :p  )

I would give up Generations to get Transtech.

I knew that Takara was going to do armor for the Cyberjets, but never saw pics of them, do you have any?

The only pic I've ever seen was a distant shot in an old Tomarts or AFN...one of their few Japanese Toy Fair coverage issues...it was in black & white and fairly grainy. 1994 IIRC since the next year's coverage was the Block Town pieces.

That would definitely have been interesting, wonder if someone has it scanned online.

All the G2 repaints that were never made, or never released. The lack of G2 Defensor gives me a sad to this day. And if the Mirage I saw was legit, It would have been the AMTC of the G2 line.

I'd really liked for it to have happened, but the concept was never designed or even made to the prototype stage. It was simply a concept that Hasbro had planned on right before the discontinuing of Alternators. Since we're briefly discussing plans, I so want to see the Bumble and Cliff designs as well as some others in the guidebook (See post #66: http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/transformers-toy-discussion/465272-alternators-please.html). I would have also liked to have seen the last string of redecos planned as well, but they suffered the same fate as not moving past the planning stages:

    Transformers: Alternators - Transformers Wiki

I would, however, like to see both of these figures:

I think there were some BWII and Beast Wars Neo toys that never got an official American release. I've an over sized knock off Lio Convoy once and there's the Leo Prime repaint of Cybertron Leo Breaker but I think that's the closest we've ever gotten to a Lio Convoy toy.

We do have B'Boom, Tripredacus, Magnaboss, and Magmatron as well as several basic figures but I don't believe we got any American versions of Lio Convoy, Big Convoy, or Galvatron. The more I see there molds online the more I really like them.

Bat Primal seems really out of place in the Beast Wars Primal's or Convoys partly because he's the only one that never had a cartoon and partly because he's the smallest. I wander if they would of ever made a larger version of him because I think originally he was meant to be an upgrade of G1 Prime before they created Optimus Primal as an entirely new character.

Lio Convoy was released on Hasbro's website as an exclusive.

Yeah, Bat Primal was originally an upgraded G1 Prime, so was monkey Primal.

I use Bat Primal as a Beast Wars version of G1 Soundwave. It works really well.

Soundwave already has his own Beast Wars toy. Unfortunately he's a mutant. (Transforms from one animal to another, no robot mode.)

I know of the mutant, but that's not G1 Soundwave, just another character that happens to be named Soundwave. They're no more the same character than G1 Dead End and Unicron's moon Minicon.

Say whaa? This figure was on HTS? Lio Convoy - Transformers Beast Wars II - TFW2005 If so, I sure don't remember it being available as any kind of American release.

Yep, Lioconvoy, Shadow Panther, Gavatron and maybe a couple others IIRC, it wasn't the current incarnation of HTS, it was an early experiment. As I remember it didn't so as well as they hoped and a lot of them went clearance...

Any and all Animated figures. I forgot all about that Hotshot...so so beautiful and as with all Animated figures, so full of life.

Animated, the one series that ended before it even started.

Wow, if only Hasbro could do that more often with Japanese exclusive releases.

    Geewun Unicron.

If only to get up every morning, and make a comment on the likeness to Orson Wells.

    Then giggle to myself.
