Hey, this isn't so much news for something that's upcoming as much as it is just a neat historical discovery. There's a YouTube channel called GameHut which is notable for showing prototype footage of TT games and he's currently livestreaming the original versions of the 2007 Transformers movie game. Apparently, the build he's showing is dated as far back as November 2006, which does show some interesting WiP work on the levels and character models. He will also be revealing "Hooverext", an entire cut level that the modding community for the game has been wanting to see for a while.

Everyone come check it out, this is some interesting stuff! :D

Wait, Scorponok could tunnel under roads in the beta?

What genius removed that feature? That would've made Mission City way more bearable.

God I would love a remake of this game in modern graphics. And then also having them put in some of the DS game features where you started as a protoform, had to scan your own alt-mode, and then had a database of alt-modes you could pick at any time on the fly. A full GTA/Watchdogs sized map or larger would be flipping fantastic to play in like that with modern graphics. They could have built an entire game franchise on that with then expanding with movie additional content like Cogman and the triplets with their size difference. And then later a G1 styled full version.

That first game got so many things right. Same to WFC too really. The only problem to WFC really was they made the levels way too linear, when they should have looked into making it larger in the sequels. Escalation mode was flipping awesome though. Still love playing that as Arcee.

Really hope Hasbro looks into doing a "Movie collection" game at some point, where you can play the story as characters from their respective movies, but also has the DS versions protoform mode too so you can create your own.

*Edit* WFC/FOC had to be linear for how they were telling their stories, but a third game really should have gone to expand into more open world cybertron. So a prequel game should go for that more "Arkham City" approach. "Dawn of the War For Cybertron" or something.

I'm loving the DS games myself. Can't believe I missed out on these! David Keath as Barricade? Great casting.

But yeah, the first movie game got alot right and a modern remake would be most welcome.

So I actually just picked up a used copy of this for my son coincidentally. There is a modding community for an older ps3 game like this?

I know it's crappy game. But I played it and enjoyed it.
I really hate it when being infested with Decepticon drones.

I could go for a new all inclusive movie game with most of the main movie characters playable, with ROTF mechanics of course. The part with Scorponok has convinced me to include him as a playable character as well.

I was just talking about this. This guy worked at traveler's tales and is now showing off prototypes. He does live streams and I suggest subscribing to him. But I really want to see his bionicle heroes prototypes. I have so many questions I would like to ask him.

I wish some of the stuff shown in these earlier builds were fleshed out like Hoover External and that larger Cybertron map. Would've worked great for multiplayer and I hope someone will one day recreate it.

I heard he donsen't know how to port the models to PC and transformers the games doesn't have the largest modding community so someone has to recreate it.

He can't do that he never worked on the games. He owns prototypes of some of the games he worked on, so that should be impossible. He worked at traveler's tales so he could get his hands on the prototypes.

Nothing like that will ever happen unfortunately. A movie-tie in game from 2007 isn't going to be revisited. The best Fall of Cybertron could manage was a (full-priced) port and Activision don't own the publishing licence anymore.

ROTF and DOTM were made by different studios so he only has access to the first game.

I hope we can see some crash or lego prototypes too. With him around we could probably get some insight on the games. Also you were originally ment to step on humans, but Jon burton (the founder and guy in the video) wouldn't let them. Activision requested it so I can see.
