Short Intro: First time post in the forums along with first time build.

The build is basic, but I figured the best route to go was to start simple and learn some basic mechanics before getting overly ambitious.

As a kid of the 80s my first Transformer was Gears and I wanted to mimic something similar. I used Onshape CAD software to design and 3D printed with Bambu Labs X-1 Carbon.

    Name: Proto-1
    Faction: Onshapes
Transformation: Hovering Hypercar (Refer to SNES F- Zero for reference)

Proto-1 is the first of its faction known as the Onhapes. Since Proto-1 is the first (prototype) it is the main reason for the monochromatic basic white color. The color, or lack of color, also shows that Proto-1 is in an early development stage and will evolve over time.

Like the CAD software Proto-1 was designed in, Proto-1 is agile, highly collaborative (with all factions), and based in the “Cloud”. Proto-1 has the Onshapes symbol (logo) on its chest.
    • Hasbro which makes Transformers use Onshape for its CAD software. With that in mind one could say the Onshapes could be considered the “creators” of the current Transformer universe. :)
Contact me and I can send you the CAD file and Onshape document link if you want to print or modify Proto-1 for yourself. [email protected]

Here are some CAD pics and render of proto-1:

He's very handsome, he looks like he could fit right in with Gobots or minibots!

If anyone wants to download and modify as they want here is the link to the Onshape document. With a free account (no download needed) you can copy, modify, and download to the format you need for 3D printing or to design in your CAD software of choice.

    Onshape

Here is also the link to get a free Onshape account if you need:

Just a side note: This is the current CAD software Hasbro uses.

Thanks again for all those who have liked my first attempt. I will now start to work on the next phase.
