For me I'm not going get hype and be let down if it isn't I think all of us should be cautious just in case
If they didn't want to disappoint the fans, you'd think they wouldn't respond at all if they didn't have something planned.
They get paid to respond. I remember in earlier of the production, someone asked if we'll get Bruticus in the film and they responded something about Grimlock needing to fight someone. It's to rally the fans up.
I get they doing that before the release of the movie, ya know to hype it up. But after it's release? They won't gain anything with that.
The movie just got released in theaters and a new movie is set to release next year. They have to keep the fans on board. I do believe we'll get a deleted scene or two but not some extended battle sequence or some rich historical context some people are asking for. I say we're getting a max of 10 minutes of new footage.

I have read responses from whoever writes these, they have no clue, this marketing campaign has sucked since day one. Don't show us pics of a submarine calling it a transformer Don't show us pics of a mclaren calling it a transfomer Dont show pics implying there is a combiner made of barricade as a leg Don't tell us cogman is a headmaster Don't tell us transformers fought it WWII and it was going to be a whole other movie(then have it be 2min, that's a short ass movie) don't show extended car chase scenes on your Facebook!, and last but not least DO NOT RELEASE OFFICIAL BIOS OF DECEPTICONS WHO DO JACK SHIT ON SCREEN. blame Bay, blame the writers but anything I was disappointed with, I blame the marketing campaign. It's seriously like all day someone tells you, wait for dinner we are having steak, lobster, and baked potatoes! And dinner comes and it's fricken Taco Bell and potato chips. Yeah I'll eat it but come on!

The marketing wasn't that bad. Whoever they hired were just doing their job. The film massively under-delivered.

Yes they were doing their job, I am not the type who calls customer service and screams at the guy who answers. but the stuff they said ended up dissapointing me where had I not got my hopes up I wouldn't have cared. The stuff that I am bitching about is stuff that was directed towards us more than the public. Which was silly I was gonna see it no matter what. If you told an average blockbuster moviegoer that there was gonna be a headmaster in this they would prolly think it meant some sort of weird exercise equipment that works out your temples.
You're totally right. I'm still disappointed we didn't get to see the headmaster gimmick on screen when both the toy and Bay confirmed we would see it. The entire development of this film was really off. I wonder what went wrong. I guess we'll find out what they were going for when we see those concept images. And speaking of, when do those usually get released?
I think usually about 2 weeks or so after the film dropped. The artists usually post it. I can't wait for that either. Although who knows what they will release if there really was behind the scenes drama. And who knows if there really is more to be seen... I mean it makes sense but if 40 min were cut I feel we would've heard it when other films have turmoil example gijoe 2 and rogue one, and now Han Solo, the news is all over. This was a couple comments on Instagram, this all could be for nothing, the hype we have I mean for "missing footage" for all we know te cuts were made while filming and post production went as planned
At least with the concept images, we can see if they were indeed planning on having a submarine Transformer or not like when they were planning on having raptor Dinobots in AOE. We may even get a glimpse of Quintessa's history.
While that box art is fake, I do hope this one gets an extended cut. Out of all the films, I feel this one deserved to have the longest runtime, not the second shortest. There was just so much they tried to cram into it that there wasn't enough time to do anything justice. I've been comparing it to Amazing Spider-Man 2: that movie also tried to do too much, and as such everything it did suffered.
