Oh don't worry monalazabeak, if the toy sells well, and I suspect it will, that'll be all the thanks that Hasbro wants.
I know a message board like this can seem endlessly whiney, and it is, but I doubt Hasbro pays much attention to it. I don't.

Thanks. First welcome I've had in the 20 odd years I've spent on the internet. But, I must say, I'm not looking for an argument.

Look, I listen to podcasts, I check the boards, I post occasionally, I go to the stores, and all this because I'm involved in Transformers. Because I love the brand.

But, when I listen to podcasts and read the boards, I can't help but feel weighed down by the amounts of negativity. And I don't think people even realize it. I mean it's a toy and people get so bent out of shape over it. It's like it's the only thing that can make or break their day, and if that's the case, you need help. Because feeling that much dismay over an object is bad for you. And even the opposite. Feeling that much excitement (and this is gross when people say it) and that your pants are wet because you popped one off when you saw a toy is just wrong. Seriously. It's wrong.

I'm not the emotion police or trying to bring order here, but I see some people on here and I just know they need to turn their attentions elsewhere because that type of stuff is just wrong and they need help fixing themselves. Whether it's going to church, talking to a counselor, or whatever, life is so much more than just toys. And that goes for anything. You idolize something and it's going to let you down. Hard. You'll never be satisfied.

 

I have never been the one to complain about hollow legs and arms but my goodness! I expect something better for the price tag on this guy.

 

Im excited and disappoint at the same time but I was this way with the classics line JF till I had em out of the box.(those goofy poses with the wing way up)
He was the most TF I played with in my adult age so I cant wait to have him in my hands.

So glad I never got the Voyager Jetfire. This version is way better.

I don't know...I mean, if I didn't have a Jetfire in my collection already, then this would be my go-to for sure.

But, as someone who's had the Classics rendition for years (and am perfectly satisfied with it), I just don't see enough of a differentiation to make the switch.

Not to say I don't like this new take. It does look great, but I don't think it's for me.

 

I can't wait to have Leader Jetfire and I have no regrets selling Classics Jetfire

 

This hollow epidemic is far from funny. This figure would be a complete winner if it did not have gaping holes in the arms and legs. Apologies in advance to anybody who is upset with my negativity about it.

 

Really? Leaders sell for $49 regular price, but within a week or two go on sale at target for $39, and a month after that are clearanced at $24....
At least that's how it's happened since tf07, animated, ROTF, dotm, prime, beast hunters, etc...

I think for a mass-market figure (not a "collectable" like the mp line) this looks FANTASTIC. Probably the best transformer toy since ROTF leader prime.

RED GODDAMN CHROME!

I like chrome, the henkei line was my favorite Transformers toy line ever, but this is too much.

With that said, I'm a Skyfire/Jetfire fanboy and like any good fanboy I'll bitch but buy anything with his likeness anyway. I do however like that he's properly big. I always felt that the classics version was too small considering he was a big SOB in the G1 cartoon.

Whats with the box? jeesh it seems massive for the size of the figure. Hopefully they are planning on bigger leaders to fill out future releases.
