Damn, you've put a lot of thought into this. I like where this is going and look forward to seeing something come of this. Are you looking for a customizer to commission? Or do you plan on doing this yourself? You may want to put this in creative general discussion if looking for a customizer.

I feel inspired xD Why don't you try getting it produced by third party? Seems like an awful lot of work for ONE figure

I remember reading that article and also thinking that it would make a great Transformer.

It's cool to see someone with better engineering know-how and image editing skills showing how it would work. I'll be following this closely.

My only complaint is that those cockpit-shoulders, when kept at full length and pointed up, look like Gunbuster:

Looking like Gunbuster is a good thing.

I wasn't too serious. Yeah, it's a cool look, but those shoulders really would get in the way of posing. Just something it reminded me of off the bat.

Keep up the cool stuff, man!

    Very impressive so far.

I'm looking forward to seeing the finished figure. :)

Sweet Robot Jesus I LOVE this concept.

I'd love to see this finished and as an actual design. Even MORE if a 3P company made him available.

I can totally see this guy helping bulk out the Autobot Air force.

Putting the Swordgun to good use. Switchblade will be a much more tolerable person to watch using it...

First off, I want to apologize for reviving an old topic, but I really wanted to comment on this. I haven't been on the boards in a long time, but I stumbled across this thread while working on a similar project and wanted to share. I'm feeling inspired. Like you, I felt that when I saw the Switchblade in Popular Science back in 1999, that it would make for a beautiful transforming fighter. Although my project is to create a plausible transforming mech jet similar to Macross. In fact, the origins of the design went back to a combination of features from the YF-19 and YF-21 from Macross Plus, so this goes back some 20 years in the making as a long-winded back-burner project. Only now do I feel near the end of the project that has lasted 4/7ths of my life, so I understand a bit about long-winded projects. Still, you managed to finalize your design in only a couple weeks from this thread. I must applaud you. Did you ever get any closer to bringing your vision to life?

I know that I’m also reviving the revival of an old topic but I also want to know how this ended up as well
