Here is stunticon #2....Deadend! He was built using a Classic's prowl mold. I transformed him a little differently modded the head, added waterslide 'con symbols and painted a sweet racing stripe up his middle. The stripe fades from yellow to white.

Are those black Decep logos there? Mind you, I suppose the colour of the logos doesn't seem to be as much of an issue nowadays, with all the silver ones they've been using on Movie and Animated figs - and for your waterslides they've got the advantage of going over anything. Very sensible option all round, really.

Isn't he using a Sunstreaker gun there? Does that mean someone else has nicked Prowl's..?

Jesus Christ. He looks amazing. They all do. And I love the different updates you've given all of them. They look like true Classics line figures. But of much higher quality of course.

Also, where are you getting your black Decepticon decals? Or are they stencils? Really nice touch with those.

 

I really like that you didn't use the G1 head design for this guy. I do think you should transform the doors differently.

I have to say that if Dead End was ever depressed, he shouldn't be now lookin' so nice!

What did you do to keep the top of the car together?
because when i took apart my Prowl, when you remove the Police lights the top of the car comes off as well? Hopefully you know wut i mean lol

 

ahh oh yeah, I bolted the roof back onto that hinge, then apoxy glued it, then filled it, then sanded it, then painted it

I had the same thought. I mean I can see the ease of using the head that came on Prowl but I feel it's a bit odd to me anyway.

Another thing I was kind of turned off by was that Breakdown's D-con symbols are traditional and Deadend's aren't

Your paint work is really great. Puts most to shame.

Far and away some of the best customizing I've seen. The standard, as far as I'm concerned.

 

I think the absence of a faceplate does't hurt the figure in the slightest. Faceplates are cool, but this is a nice twist and more of an updated look than anything else. I mean, if we were going strictly G1 here, Motormaster wouldn't have been made out of a GF Prime.

I also believe the difference in Decepticon symbols helps give each Stunticon his own personality and look. A black symbol on Deadend's red works better than a traditional, whereas the purple looks like it works better on Breakdown.

 

OMFG! Deadend is wicked. Decals are cool, I like black. And how its excuted very sweet. So kudos to you man your version of the Stunticons are going to wipe the floor with Redline's. But I'm not choosing sides.

 

man this guy looks awesome, the paint job is so clean. I love everything about this figure. My one crit would be the doors in bot mode, I think they should point down or something just to differ it from the "prowl" look

You know, as I transformed him back into car mode after robot mode was done, I noticed that also. The 2 parts on the side have hood which actually cover the head... I contemplated retooling those so that headlights will show, but the part which would need to be trimmed off contains a snap necessary for hold the sides on. If you have this mold, you'll know the sides need all the help they can get to stay on.

Yeah, I chose and use a lot of black 'con symbols. Black matches every color. I couldn't bear to put purple symbols on him.
