I doubt it’ll be Dinoking, seeing as SDCC (or equivalent) is likely where Snarl will be revealed and I doubt that a redeco of a mold being revealed at the event will be available for it.

Considering Japanese G1 has had two very successful Haslabs and Japanese G1 characters are starting to release in the main line, I wouldn't really count anything from the Takara Trilogy as too obscure unless you're a hard core fan.

I'm not sure that was the point of my post to say anything was "too" obscure (for what?). I was certainly saying that Japanese stuff is more obscure than US stuff (and likely more than "obscure" US stuff), but this comment seems to go further than I was trying to do.

To paraphrase something I said in a different post, Hasbro does obscure stuff all the time. That's not in question. They probably do have to figure out just which obscure things they want to do at any given time, and need to balance out "obscure" things with less obscure (that is to say, less risky) characters. But it's already obvious that, even IF only "hard-core" fans are into a given character, Hasbro's perfectly willing to give those characters to us from time to time.
