    I know he is Cybertron and he shut himself down so Unicron wouldn't find him, but my question is, is he a Prime and did he created the Matrix?

    I don't think so, from what I know it's just given to a prime to symbolize he's a prime but is also what keeps the autobots together

    Its implied that the matrix is part of Primus.That he made , or it was made, with part of Primus's spark.

    He's the Prime's Mommy or Daddy depending how you see things, Unicron would then be the estranged ex that stalks them. .

    I'd rather say Unicron is the "King Claudius" or the "Scar" of this story: The evil brother who goes on a roaring rampage of revenge to replace/destroy his brother and his children.
