I saw in a video that Prime has a trailer, does somebody know if he's going to have a super mode?

I think not, cause I red that the trailer isen't delivered with the toy version. Please let me know if you know more.

I'm pretty sure the trailer for the Earth mode is just the giant axe.

It was stated at Botcon that the trailers are just getting to expensive to produce so the folding axe is as close as he is going to get.

So far there's only two Prime toys for Animated
The deluxe in Cybertronian form with the small axe
The voyager in Earth mode with the giant axe that hangs of his back

There may be another/larger Prime toy later on but that is entirely rumour and/or speculation at this point.

I do hope they keep upgrading to a minimum, though it was necessary in BW to get more molds of show characters out there.

Yeah but Hasbro won't want to have either Prime or Megatron off the shelves for more then a year. We may even see some other core cast members get new toys if the show progresses into a thrid or even fourth season.

I know some people like trailers, and semi-trailers like RID and Cybertron Prime are pretty cool, but I say good riddance to the bricks like Energon Prime, and the giant space-hogging bases like Scourge. I'd rather just save that $15-20 bucks off the price of the toy... because the Prime figure is always the coolest part anyways. :p

I think that G1 Prime pulled the trailer bit the best of all the OPs so far. I hope they do a similar thing with Ani. OP.

I actually really like trailer toys, as long as the cab itself is a self-contained toy. I feel that this is a weakness of, for example, Fire Convoy/RID Prime.

I love the designs so far and hope Hasbro changed their minds about the trailer, for it looks neat as seen in this picture

No more trailers!? That's good news to me! I generally don't like the trailers and I just end up sticking them in a corner somewhere in my collection... They just take up space. I don't find them very appealing to the eye either... (Aside from Lazer Optimus Primes trailer... I liked that one, it was fun.) For me it's more about the actual character, the robot mode, than it is the vehicle mode.

Still, I would like to know if he's going to get one... Hopefully not...

Edit: Although it's a hard perspective shot, that trailer above in the pic actually looks ok. hmmm.

I hope they include a trailer and make it his "Apex Armor" or something.
I may be in the minority, but I like Primes who have a trailer formed super mode.

It certainly beats having the trailer just move off screen when he turns into a robot and then move back when he becomes a truck.

I know you couldn't drive the cab of RID Prime without the trailer, but when do you ever see the front part of a fire truck rolling around without the trailer\ladder portion?

I never saw Cybertron Prime in vehicle mode without his trailer.
As for Animated Prime, I guess I'll know tonight. :thumb

Most fire trucks aren't articulated that's why, this one we see breifly here doesn't look articulated either. If it was then the cab would just tip onto it's nose if it did detach due to having no wheels forward of the center of gravity.

Actually, three, or maybe two and a half depending on how you count. the TFCC magazine featured a picture of a battle-damaged Prime that actually was a deluxe earth mode toy, a partial but very well done retool of the cybertronian deluxe with new torso, legs and forearms designed to make it look like his earth mode.

Ah, thanks very much for that info. I don't subscribe and had only heard that there was pics of a battle damaged deluxe Prime. I hadn't heard that it was the Earth mode though. I look forward to seeing this now, cheers. :thumbs2:
