Not on this level. I mean the thing that still gets me is how many people (Even outside the fandom.) looked at that bot design and thought it was Starscream. I don't think you or certain others really want to recognize how weird that is for a lot of people.

 

Yeah, I never said many of those things so nice exaggeration there.

Should they?

In a BUMBLEBEE movie? I think it's clear by now that no matter what Decepticons are used, they are going to be altered, changed or updated in some way.

Six movies in and this still comes as a surprise to many.

 

Of course they should. Absolutely they should. The only surprise here is that we don't raise our standards after 5 movies. And I'm talking basic reasonable standards, not expecting any of those to be Citizen Kane of course. Just because they've gotten away with barely paying any mind to essential aspects of storytelling, doesn't mean it should be ok forever.

 

I fully acknowledge it's weird. I just don't care. I'm still not letting it diminish my excitement for this movie one bit.

 

That design looks terrible, he looks like a giant toy and the proportions are somehow less dynamic than even the actual G1 figure. No thank you.

 

As someone who believes in 'anything goes as long as it makes sense', I'm liking all the designs so far.

Was a big fan of the Bayformers aesthetic, but this new looks works for me too. Am not too fussed whether it's Starscream or Blitzwing, just glad there's another warplane Transformer.

 

Yeah, it's too G1.

 

Love the design....but what are we looking at here I have been gone a while can someone please fill in the blanks for me?

 

If you're still complaining about nameslapping at this point, its beyond beating a dead horse. Like for real, get over it and grow up. If it effects you that much don't watch the movie.  

 

You're right. All these years of complaining have been proven wrong by this single post. I have now realized that the Michael Bay Transformers movies are the greatest films to ever grace cinema history. All of the critics and "fans" have been wrong this whole time.

 

Whoa there cowboy no need to put words in my mouth, all I said is that complaining about nameslapping is childish. Did I say anything about the quality of the movies and/or how they should be perceived by everyone? No. Your sarcasm is unwarranted.

 

Now to be fair, some of these things aren’t in the movies (plot, characterization, story). 

 

That would be awesome.

 

I'm sure they're still working on it, at the moment they're just working on a lot of other different franchises and such as well. Hopefully we see something from Age of Time or their G1 series sometime soon.
