But they're from Takara! And they don't include extra Titan/Prime Masters! Therefore, they are infinitely better by default!

 

...to be fair, repugnus and grotusque were produced as special-edition figures to a much higher standard than hasbro's retail titans return deluxes...i remembre being disinctly impressed by how much they reminded me of takara legends in fit and finish, in substantial contrast to hasbro's doublecross...

I’m glad this thread was revived. It was a great chance to look over some awesome pics and appreciate Repugnus one more time. IMO, this figure was a really great “last sendoff” for one of my favorite TF lines of all time (and I’ve been in it since ‘84). I’m amazed that he has been available for retail on Amazon for so long! I hope this just means that they produced a ton of them rather than a lack of sales.

I really to appreciate that Takara consistently goes for the black screws. It’s a nice example of attention to detail and probably only costs them a fraction of a cent per unit.

I went with the Takara one for mine, swapped the faceplate onto the battle beast titanmaster that came with repugnus

 

Definitely the green eyed head.

 

I've only got the Takara one, so I went with that. Plus if I put the three Monsterbots together, I tend to get a sort of 'blue-eyed boys' impression'....

 

I've got my Repugnus and he came with two Dastards! If there's anybody missing him, PM me.
