So I'm probably going to end up getting only one of these guys, but I can't for the life of me decide.

Obviously PRIME Magnus is more in-scale with other figures, but he also has a general lack of paint apps and a so-so hammer.

FoC Magnus will obviously be cheaper, and the in-hand shots of him look pretty cool (the sword/gun thing is really neat), but obviously he's a bit on the s,mall side. (And I know he isn't out yet so we can't technically get a proper review on him, but obviously FoC Optimus is).

Thoughts?

 

I prefer Prime Magnus. The FOC Magnus doesn't look great to me. I don't like the mold and he's just a head swap redeco. Meh.

 

Well it depends which figure's design do you like best. Myself I love how TFP Ultra Magnus looks more then FOC Magnis but that's just me due to being a TFP fan. That and the TFA homages in TFP Ultra Magnus is a great touch too.

Personally? Prime voyager magnus because hes an homage to multiple versions of te namesake.

 

Prime Magnus is both a much larger figure, and simply better. (Also homages a few previous versions by virtue of his design.)

If you don't like the face... hopefully someone makes a G1-styled head for him at some point.

I do think FoC Magnus as a redeco is pretty neat... but at the end of the day.. he's still a tiny OP repaint rather than his own mold.

TFP Ultra Magnes, besides the lack of paint on his torso, he looks better than FOC Ultra Magnes, IMO.

the only thing cool about FOC magnus is the head sculpt.

Other than that's he's still nothing more than a prime toy.

FoC magnus looks more magnus to me really ... except its so small ... same with PRiD.

i say get both. FoC does come with the nice sword.
Prid magnus comes with that hammer. i like that hammer.

 

FOC looks better to me. Also, it looks like a 3rd Party may do an upgrade for it if that's your thing.

I just think am not crazy about Prime Ultra Magnus in both modes.

 

I'm inclined to ask if you really want either? In which case, I'd say keep the money.

Honestly?
Because I liked the FoC Optimus figure (before his untimely demise) and I think the FoC would make a great Wrecker..for me.

 

I'd wait to see the upcoming Weaponizer before making a choice.
