I wasn't sure about this guy before, but wow I really like him now. Properly transformed, the botmode looks great and it's a rare case of the mechtech really improving the vehicle mode. (It looks much better as an artillery truck instead of a sad blue cab thing.)

Does he have a waist? It looks like there is a swivel point there similar to First Edition Prime.

I could definitely see this repainted into a movie-inspired Sentinel.

I wasn't originally sure about this figure, but now I'm sold! I really like the fact that the weapon can lock into hammer mode!

Yeah, I was kinda lukewarm on him but now I think I'll get him on sight along with Thundertron.

So, if he does get a full model, then the roof becomes his chest and back. I can see how it'd work in show from this toy. I like it.

Now appear in my area so I can nab you, Dreadwing and Skyquake!

Silver paint on his rims and smokestacks would've done wonders for his vehicle mode! Regardless he's an awesome looking figure and is a definate buy from me.:D

this guy actually looks really good, guess I'm not completely done with TFP figures yet. Admittedly I can't help but wish hasbro hadn't changed the design team, I can't imagine that the old team would let the truck bed look like that.

At least I didn't notice any fake wheels.

Once in a blue moon I wonder if the rest of the world is looking at the same toy I'm looking at. This is one of those times.

The truck mode looks terrible. I mean, look at it. What is that? It's 50% untransformed robot legs. The cab is fused to the bed. The bed is almost as tall as the cab. The cab sculpt is just goofy. What looks like that? You can make a fantasy truck, but it has to be bad ass, like RID (2000) magnus. The front of this truck is just dorky.

The robot has pencil thin shoulders under giant pads. But the pads can't even cover how thin his shoulders are. It just looks bad.

But I did have a good chuckle when that RiD Optimus toy rolled on screen. His legs were just hanging out the back there. I guess it was a show of solidarity with his Autobot brother. :)  (OP, his shins hide under the cab and his feet connect to form the trailer hitch).

^ The truck is pretty lame, as the review notes. I feel like I would be getting it for the robot mode, headsculpt, and HAMMER.

How cross-compatible is that hammer btw? Any chance of it being an ok weapon for another 5 mm fist?

Frankly the thin shoulders are a bit off-putting, but my only real worry is that some figures might have floppy arms because of them being balljoints.

I laughed at that bit too, but I guess he just transformed him real quick to do a comparison and skipped that part.

Got mine this morning. A bit disappointing. Designers didn't try very hard, it transforms pretty much the same as the Cyberverse Commander version. Zero attempt at hiding the feet in truck mode or at compressing the backpack in robot mode. Lazy engineering.

The figure looks fun actually but it just doesn't scream Magnus to me, and that's what giving me pause.

I really think right now, I'm leaning towards the FoC repaint.

WTF. The one powerizer weapon that locks into its secondary mode, mine is assembled with the locking peg facing the WRONG way so it cant go into the hole to lock.
