So NYCC has passed and it was all fine and dandy but I was confuse by one thing. During Hasbros presentation they showed off some Prime toys that we've already seen but in the case of Bumblebee and Cliffjumper they had some new weapons. Bumblebee now has two wrist blasters to make him show accurate while Cliffjumper has a hammer. Now what confuses me is that the slides gave the toys the subtitle, Robots in Disguise. Are these toys the same as the first edition waves or are they from the main line starting next year? I really hope that they're part of the preview wave as I don't want to wait longer for a show accurate BB.

Looks like main line. Look through the previous info on Cliffjumper and you'll see the one that was showed off with the hammer/blaster has some different tooling than the one from SDCC earlier this year. The SDCC one looks to be the preview wave version, while the NYCC one is likely to be the main line release. I'd assume the same with the Bumblebees.

OK I watched the press conference posted earlier today and it's clear to me now that the Bumblebee and Cliffjumper toys I was talking about are coming out when the main line launches next year. While the other Cliffjumper looks better than the preview wave one, bumblebee isn't doing it for me. I don't know maybe it's the way the robot mode is photographed but it looks more like a fast action battler than the show model. I'll probably stick to the preview wave with only one wrist blaster. I'm willing to sacrifice the extra wrist blaster for a better robot mode. What do you guys think?

Wait, wait, wait. So the toys in the preview waves are different molds than the regular ones. This is extremely stupid and will only make people confused.

So far we've only shown a different Cliffjumper. The only discernible difference with Bumblebee is pair of blasters instead of the one.

I still don't get why they would make another Cliffjumper when we haven't gotten a whole lot of main characters. Are you guys sure this is an entirely new Cliffjumper?

Yeah it totally is. Way more back kibble but a more accurate chest. Gun hand gimmicks are gone too and the legs and arms are entirely different.

But what's with the new Bumble Bee. Is this the same as the preview wave with and added blaster or entirely new one?

Maybe the previous version is an earlier prototype of TF Prime Cliffjumper and the one shown at NYCC is a more recent production model. The legs on the one shown at SDCC scream mock-up to me.

That's odd. as someone previously stated why not fill that slot with a new character? I like the version shown at NYCC.. although the red is nicer on the other, which could just be the lighting. Confusion indeed:)

Not sure about anybody else, but I'm still not sure which version I'll get. Bumblebee, Wheeljack, and Soundwave are all characters I would gladly get multiple versions of (already plan on getting both Bumblebees), but Cliffjumper is one I would rather get just one version of.

On one hand, I like the more accurate bot-mode detailing of the second mold, but the back kibble and shoulders bother me, and I'm not a fan of the hammer-gun. On the other hand I like the clean and kibble-less look and show-accurate weaponry of the First Edition, but he seems a bit too simple, and his chest is really boxy.

The show doesn't exatly have a huge cast like G1, they gotta fill those slots somehow
