this guy was done as one of two entries for a contest over on cybertron.ca. he was finished almost a moth and a hlf ago. the theme was to take a deluxe prime FE bumblebee mold and turn it into somebody different,and part two was to take any other mold and turn it into bumblebee. i ended up taking 1st place overall,barely taking it by .75. mods to turn him into jazz are : gi jazz crotch butchered down and fused to the ground down front of bb's crotch(i know...ouch ) g1 jazz toes and shin chunks fused to bb's clipped and ground down front shins. gi jazz rear spoiler halves were drilled and screwed onto his calves/trunk. ikea detolf screw caps became his new head lights. a xmods toyota supra bodykit was butcher and quartered up. the original bb rear bumper sections were severly ground down on a belt sander,then the halves of the supra kit was fused and molded in with short strand fiber glass,sanded down,and finished with glazing putty before priming. a 1/24 scale vw golf gti model kit lost it's front lower spoiler to be sectioned and then fused to his alt mode front lower corners. a hotwheels heavy haulers semi lost it's exhaust pipes.they ended up getting cut in half length wise(almost cut myself a few times doing these cuts) and then the remains were fused to the bottom of jazz's doors. an inner chunk of plastic from the haulers sleeper was butchered to become the new hood scoop. the shoulder armor bb used to have was almost completely removed,an effort to try to simulate g1 jazz's wheeled shoulders. bb's 3 funny spikes at his elbows and the prongs in front of his knees were clipped then sanded off to try to make his legs more square-ish.(that a word?) his shoulder cannon is made from a vintage battlebeast base claw(came with the water/shark base),a zoids turtle cannon tip and a carved down chunk of plastic from the odds and sods bin. the cannon mount gets sandwiched between his windshield and his back and can still allow the cannon to pivot all around. his rifle is from energon fatimus prime,the only real mod to it being a new hole drilled into the tip of the missile. a deluxe rotf soundwave head was clipped and ground down and minor putty was used to try to make his head more g1-ish. two holes were drilled so both of his weapons could mount to him in alt mode. his stripes are hand cut vinyl,the front crotch details are still the stock vintage decals.i may or may not in the future add "martini" and the number "4" but for now i like him with this little decals in alt mode. his headlights are also handcut color shifting vinyl.
Effin A,Man!What a chop shop job and a half.I love it.I'm a Jazz fan and love the creative ideas here with the (bites nails) donor G1 Jazz parts that went to this.That would be hard for me to get around gutting a G1 in this manner.But it just adds the right touches to make this guy kick ass!Well done.Very well done!

This works on sooooo many levels. This isn't just killing it, this is nuking it from orbit just to be sure.
I like everything about this custom...except for that frickin soundwave head! Great, paint job and delivery on the overall figure. I just REALLY hate that head sculpt!!! I give it a 8.95 out of a perfect 10.
