Paints Used: - Black Gloss Acrylic - Gray (mix of black gloss and white gloss) - Red Gloss Acrylic - Silver Metallic Acrylic - Yellow Gloss Acrylic - Flat Sky Blue Enamel Alright folks we're starting off this charade of better paint apps than ever better with the biggest shelf warmer to date. Yes he severely outnumbers his wave mates and its not too surprising to stumble upon a nest of the yellow buggers on the store shelves and at an increased price point, damn you American retailers. Regardless of his status as the next poster boy of over-saturation since Transquisto this figure is actually not bad, even when you compare him to his First Edition counterpart. Sure its smaller and the slight loss of articulation (no wrist articulation) can be hindering to some however its miles above the likes we've seen since the earlier days like Bw Retrax, BM Silverbolt, Armada Smokescreen and of course Prime Airachnid, now that's a mess of a figure folks. Definitely the weakest of the paint jobs so far though I did try my best and any more time on it would have driven me into madness. Yellow is not my favorite and it shows in its sloppiest glory. Also of note is the rims were applied with a sharpie since I ran out of silver paint which is kinda embarrassing in a way but its only tires and I don't believe in investing a ton of cash on bloody rims that are more expense than the vehicle. If the retail figure's paintjob looked this good, yeah, I'd buy it, even with the figure's flaws. Amazing!
