What do you guys think of the art of Prime or to be blunt, the overall design of the characters?

I for one think it's really awesome, combing G1 with the future, however it is safe to say that Bee's could change.

 

I love it! There isn't a single design that I hate 

 

I'm enjoying Bee's current design in Prime.

 

It's my all time favourite style yet. It combined what I love most from the movies and Animated styles. It has the complexity and realisim of the movies with the charm and expressive feel of Animated combined into one. It also has traces of G1 as well.  

 

Don't forget the somewhat Disney-ish faces of certain characters.  

 

Indeed. I did the homage they did of Maleficant in Airachnid's head design.  

I also have to say I love how they designed Arcee,Soundwave,Breakdown,and Smokescreen because they look so different from their past versions that it's certainly refreashing.  

 

It's almost the WFC Style, but smoother and less needlessly puffy.

And they still look like the can move under their own power.

Now hopefully that merger will let the team use EVEN MORE robots!

 

Pretty much what kaijuguy said. It's probably my favourite overall design aesthetic, tied with Bayformers. I love Bayformers' complexity, but I also love how TFP is basically a toned down and sleek-yet-solid Bayformers design. Bayformers + TFA = TFP.

If I had the ability to get super awesome professional artists to do this for me, I'd like to see what the middle ground between TFP and Bayformers would be. If TFP is the result of Animated and Bayformers, then I'd love the design that would bridge the gap between TFP and Bayformers.

Not digging it. Don't like the animated look.

 

It would be sweet if they just designed almost the entire G1 cast to th.is form, love to see how Hound and Hoist are portrayed

 

Love the style of Prime. One of my fav styles for TF's.

 

I love the style as well. It's a great blend of the movieverse's complexity and Animated's characterful designs. However, my absolute favorite thing is their expressive faces and movements.

 

It's mixed for me. I dig Bulkhead and Cliffjumper, but others like Prime (tiny fingers, tiny hips, teeny legs) and Soundwave are awkward, some like Breakdown and Airachnid are boring. In general, I'd have to say no. For example, toys that are supposed to look like the aesthetic don't work for me. If voyager Ultra Magnus was a bit more G1 and less Prime, I'd love him, but as he is I think he's way too stylized and Rumble looks really weird in robot mode.

Plus, I don't like the actual transformation animations.

 

Combines the worst aspects of the Animated and Movie designs. I really don't like them.

 

love 'em all, except arcee. takes the complexity of the movie designs and makes them a lot more intelligible, especially the faces.

 

I really like 'em lack of noses feel awkard to watch at times, however this is only a small problem for me.

 

I love the TFP style. The mixtures between the movie, animated, and a tad bit of G1 designs is awesome.

 

I hate the rubber doll-looking humans.

 

The humans do leave a lot to be desired, anime style art isn't designed for 3D art, IMHO, especially life-like art.

 

If I could change one thing, it would be the faces. Too animated looking.
